Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
Armand Gnanduillet....not a crowd favourite in his time at Leyton Orient, doing ok now.
Armand Gnanduillet scored his 10th goal of the season as Blackpool beat Morecambe 4-1 to reach the FA Cup second round.

Re: Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
Hounded out by certain sections in the crowed..........without a doubt !! IMO, also perhaps disliked by some due to his playing style, some thought him a bit lazy. Then again, many good players did not play well when Bechetti has the owner, then did well once they moved to other clubs.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 9:26 pm Knew where the goal was. Re: Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
He has a slow languid style, but he was very useful and I remember saying so at the time. I always look out for Blackpool to see if he's scored. Yes, he was more or less hounded by some who couldn't see his merits. But to say he was hounded out by racists is a ridiculous comment to make.

Re: Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
Yeah remember him, tall guy, jet black, midfield player, once he got going not many guys could catch him let alone trying to tackle him. Unfortunately came to us in our worst history, good guy liked him just wish he could have arrived at a better time for him and us, remember him at blackpool game, paid his respect to us, dam fine bloke.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 9:22 pm Armand Gnanduillet....not a crowd favourite in his time at Leyton Orient, doing ok now.

He was only at the club what 3 years ago? It's hardly a stretch to remember him, although apparently some have forgotten he played up front.

Re: Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
That was a really nice post that you have written about Armand Gnanduillet, after the nastiness you sometimes come across on this forum, so good to come across a post like this, well written and nice thoughts at the end, well done !point nine one eight wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 1:46 amYeah remember him, tall guy, jet black, midfield player, once he got going not many guys could catch him let alone trying to tackle him. Re: Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
Have noticed he's been doing well at Blackpool, and last season too.
Never really cut it here, but that could be said of a number of players, was a bad time for the club and it's difficult to thrive in that atmosphere.

Re: Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
It is a period of time that most orient fans would want to forget. There were some decent players during the madman’s reign only to be messed around for one reason or another by his crazy excess.Constantine wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 1:52 am He was only at the club what 3 years ago? Remember him scoring in that game Vs Dagenham and being booed by our own fans.

Re: Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
Correct on both counts, i was there at that game and as I recall that was Dagenhams last game in division 2 before being relegated to the national league.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 8:07 am Remember him scoring in that game Vs Dagenham and being booed by our own fans.

Re: Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
Prestige, why introduce racism claims. He was disliked by some because he was lazy and didn’t produce the goods , end of.
There has never been a history of us abusing our black players so give it a rest.

Re: Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
Agree that many who booed him did it more because his style of playing was seen by some as a bit lazy and unmotivated. But he was one of many who at that time did not produce their very best and that was due the the malign and toxic atmosphere at the club at that time.

Was roundly coated by the experts/morons on here, who decided in about ten minutes he was crap.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 8:07 am Remember him scoring in that game Vs Dagenham and being booed by our own fans.

Re: Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
Gnanduillet was always compared unfavourably to Palmer, who played to 100% of his ability but wasn't as good. Gnanduillet may have been frustrating, but I'd still rather have him in the side - playing at 80% he was still the superior player.

Re: Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
Do remember him scoring a wonder goal in one game. Ball came to him, he just turned and lashed it into the top corner. Unstoppable. As others have said, sadly played in the Beelzebub era with all that that entailed.

Re: Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
Marquis was played on the wing for reasons only the manager at the time knows - he's played upfront ever since and been a success there... no surprise a player in their correct position does betterScuba Diver wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 1:11 pmWas roundly coated by the experts/morons on here, who decided in about ten minutes he was crap.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 8:07 am Remember him scoring in that game Vs Dagenham and being booed by our own fans.

Daniels I can only think you're going as far back as his initial Spurs loan with us when he was pretty lightweight?
As for Bonne I said at the time we'll miss his contribution when he's gone and couldn't understand anyone giving him flak last season. Definitely being proved right on that front as we're a much poorer side without his work rate and goals.

Re: Remember Armand Gnanduillet ?
I have never seen an Os forward work as hard off the ball as Bonne, come to that exceptional work rate compared to any player at any team you can think of !) Charlton got a real bargain at £200,000 but we had no choice in the matter other than to let him go, perhaps if a sell in clause has been put in, more money may come if he gets sold on by Charlton for a big fee.gshaw wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 10:05 pmMarquis was played on the wing for reasons only the manager at the time knows - he's played upfront ever since and been a success there... no surprise a player in their correct position does betterScuba Diver wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 1:11 pmWas roundly coated by the experts/morons on here, who decided in about ten minutes he was crap.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 8:07 am Remember him scoring in that game Vs Dagenham and being booed by our own fans.
