It was the biggest cup tie in the opposition's recent history, they had nothing to lose.

Expect the embarrassing nothingness to continue. But it will probably be the most exciting thing for us this afternoon.

This just has all the hallmarks of the Davis era, to me. He clearly wants us to play neat, possession football when we clearly do not have anything like the playing staff to pull that off. We learned the hard way in the national league that you need to be pragmatic and adaptable.

They scored more goals than us, unfortunately even when they were down to 10 men.
I am not up to the job and am resigning immediately.

In a similar game, predict the media lockdown response to this...

Interview cut short and kept off YouTube?
Club Twitter feed very quiet?
"Unofficial" podcasts avoiding the issue / deflecting other topics?

So why does he talk about playing with intensity. Of course I have no idea what he means by intensity but I hope and pray it’s not like Davies. Not that I disliked his ideas, we just didn’t have the players to make it work, and still don’t.

Maybe he intensely dislikes winning. In which case he’s doing just fine.

In all honesty, I think I'd rather have Davis back than Fletcher .

I think that says more about you than it does about him.

Last time I can remember us playing really neat possession type of football was under George Petchey, but at that time, he had FAR better players to work with than what we have now. All in all, you cannot make a silk purse out of a sows ear, so we have to play a style of football that is in keeping with the skill levels of the players that we have at our disposal.

Common sense. Play to our players strengths with a system they understand and can manage. Takes a little more experience than reading a few books. World of difference between theory and practice.
