Ruel Sotiriou scores to put Dover 1-0 up against Southend !

Ruel Sotiriou comes on as a sub for Dover in the 81st minute in their FA cup tie against Southend and then scores for them in the 83rd minute to put Dover 1-0 up !
Goal! Dover Athletic 1, Southend United 0. Ruel Sotiriou (Dover Athletic) right footed shot from a difficult angle on the right.

But he wouldn't have been, so better for him to go out on loan, play some regular football against men and come back better prepared than before than sitting in the reserves. Not sure why people like Sid are reacting like it's a bad thing that he scored for Dover today.

It's a good move for him and his football education, he will gain good experience and will be playing at the highest level hes played at so far.
All I see is positives for the young lad. A good call by the club imo.

Why the f*** wasn’t Ruel given the two games against Brighton and today to see how he got on, THEN loaned out for a further run of games?
It’s almost as if we haven’t got a clue what we’re doing.

That would seem to have been a good idea, but CF of the many coaching badges thought differently.

Someone commented today that he didn’t want to go, but fletch told him to. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but.....
I still think it’s a good move for him.

Yeah but don’t say we didn’t need him today. Our strike force looked toothless today and Harrold could have done with some support. It might not have made any difference but it’s annoying to see one of OUR strikers score against league opposition when we could only score one against a team 4 leagues below us.
