Fletcher was only given an 18 month contract, which is the rest of this season plus next season.
I would have thought thats a little cautious by the club. Maybe they wern't as sure as they made out
If the man is here for 18 months, we'll be back in the National league
Wonder what Ling saw in him? maybe it was his 1 win, every 4 games

Plus a 12 month break clause.

18 months seems very cautious. Maybe the experienced managers wanted longer. Damage limitation if it don’t work out sensible. You can always extend if it’s going well.

Yes, I wonder if there’s a break clause at the end of the season.
On any level CF ain’t cutting it.
I think we’re best of cutting our losses here and now, we made a mistake, let’s get a proper manager in.
His interviews are excruciating.

Agreed. He said to DD after the Brighton game 'we need more intensity in certain areas especially in transition'. I hope the players can understand him!

I was listening to Gary Lineker yesterday and he said “transition coach what’s that all about? Football has not changed, just more coaches being brought in. All it means is winning to ball back mostly quickly now, then moving from defence to attack or vice versa.
I have an idea, just tackle them!

Are you saying that the owners will sit back and let him take us down to the National League at the end of next season, without intervening and sacking him before that happens?

18 month contract and forced to work with staff he doesn't know/won't buy into his ideas. Well played Martin Ling, you won't silence us.

Next season ? It could happen this season. Remember, we’ve just been outplayed by the bottom team
