its looked a bit of a circus yesterday i didn't really see who was in charge, fletcher embleton and webb in dugout jobi on balcony communicating with ross through an earpiece. i think this will end in complete disaster i can see people walking away i put the blame on martin ling for not appointing an experience manager with a proper backroom staff

Jobi on the balcony is a good idea, wondered for years why coaching staff don't put someone in an elevated view as you see a lot more than at touchline level.

Does feel like there's one too many in that coaching team now though.

I thought fletch had control of the technical area. Whenever I looked over he was there on his own and rarely did I see RE, DW approach him. I did wonder where Jobi was, that’s that answered then.

So let's consider, exactly how many games has Fletcher been in charge of so far? Rather too soon, I'd suggest, for any concerns and/or finger pointing.

When does ‘too soon’ expire in your opinion?

Fletch was in conversation with RE a few times, no big deal. Why wouldn’t he talk to his number two during games? Don’t see this as being an issue.

I didn’t say they didn’t speak, my point being he had control of his technical area, it was not over crowded in my opinion whenever I looked over there.

Quite frankly, one week and two games is miles too early to judge on how well Carl is going to do for us. It could be that he’s going to need a couple of new players either on loan or permanently to get the team playing the way he wants

Like any new team, staff, players, life, work, they will over time establish who does what, where they fit in etc, it's just natural

Not as good an idea as getting him on the pitch and playing I would suggest. Giving him an extra year on his playing contract is turning out to be an expensive mistake unfortunately.

Only because, as you already know, you can't define such a period exactly. I do know, however, that as it's been about a week, and 2 games, since he took over that any negative talk about his style or ability is just poppycock. Associated finger pointing at ML based on any such negative views about Fletcher also fall into that category.

Stop talking sense. You'll get nowhere on this board by talking sense!

In total roughly. He’s had about 2 days training with them (I’ve already made my feeling clear about why that was stupid). If he wants them to play like the first half every week, they’ll need to be drilled and educated.

Must be 10 with 10 weeks of full training.

Indeed but I don't see him contributing on the field anytime soon sadly. Really pushed himself beyond the limit to see us through to the title last season and has paid for it since.

Think about all those little shots pre-season who said those of us who predicted this were doomsayers.

Where are they now?
