"First half good, second half not so good"

Like watching two different sides today. First half best we've played at BR this season (take Cheltenham fixture out as it was an occasion unlike any other game) but second really poor and lucky to get the point in the end.

Makes ratings a tad difficult. Ended up wiping out what I'd typed and easier to sum up as...

6 all round apart from Dennis and JMD with 5, no real impact from either. I'd drop Clay to a 5 too for his second half display but that'll probably be controversial.

Shout out for the Carlisle #24, gets an 8, changed the game.

I can't remember when the O's had an all round 90 minute good game. It always seems to be one half good, one half bad. it's mostly been like that for years, even in the NL, but not so much in that division.

Wish I’d left at half time. Second half absolute poo poo. Can’t be arsed to say any more. Waterloo train delayed. Marvellous.

Wright and Clay both should be given a 5, brophy a 7, Joe 6.5 he linked up much better today and showed more penetration down his side of the pitch, marvin however was anonymous which i can kind of accept as he's a centre half.

Not sure you're being fair eating sardines on a train, you will absolutely stink the carriage out.🤣

First half excellent. Second half deeply troubling. Had no answer to some minor tweaks from Carlisle, our collective arse fell out after conceding yet another awful goal and Fletcher's plan to wrest control back by just sending on more and more midfielders was baffling.

Yup Joe did well.Just needs to improve on his crossing.Couple of times he could have put in decent first time crosses but just couldn’t

Yeah we should have won that first half. Played some nice football, dominated possession and Brophy and Widdowson were getting in behind time after time. But their sub and early goal second half changed the game.

I understand the subs Fletch made but 433 with no striker on the pitch we never looked like scoring.

Will be good to have Wilko back and hopefully Angol as well soon because much as I like Harrold, he needs more support up front than he got today.

It's almost like we should've signed another quality striker rather than retaining Alabi...

We haven't retained Alabi the club were trying to get rid of him they couldn't for one reason or another.

As already said - first half ‘lit’, second half sh!t.

We should have been more than one up at half time, that is the only criticism of the first 45.

The goal was like so many we’ve conceded this season, was a long way away but I’m assuming it’s another one Brill should have come and claimed but instead stood rooted to his line?

Not sure why the subs are coming in for criticism. Given what is available, there was nothing else Fletch could do. I’m assuming that he’s already made up his mind about Alabi after watching him come on as sub the last couple of games.

We also looked knackered. We had been playing a really high tempo, I’m guessing we’re not fit enough to play how he wants us to.

Some of the football in that first 45 was sublime. I’m looking forward to seeing what Fletch can do with this lot given a bit more than a week.

I wonder what Fletcher thinks of our fitness levels. The forward 6 collectively ran out of juice and Carlisle smartly moved 2 up front which stopped us playing out of the back.

I thought the 3 subs that came on made no impression - JMD in particular missed an opportunity.

Widdowson, Happe and Brophy all better than average; Coulson off his game a bit, Wright a tad too.

An old Cliche so true today.

First half excellent with pass and move, pressing, high energy levels, players expressing themselves and a really positive approach. Lovely stuff, a real joy to watch.

Second half was as bad as the first was good. Completely lost shape and seemed unfit and unable to execute the managers new style (which I really enjoyed).

Players who really shone for me were: Brophy, Dayton (first half), Wright (first half), Happe...

Forwards coming back soon will increase options and with time the new style will hopefully reap greater results.

I don't even think we were that good first half, Carlisle were just terrible.

Same olf story conceding a terrible goal, but we created nothing, missed Angol/Wilkinson today, had nothing to change things and when Harrold went off the game was up as we had no striker.
