That hand ball goal.

As the ref didn't see it should the EFL give Rodden a retrospective red card for deliberate hand ball? The EFL have the power to do so but will they use it? If not why not. The Os should persue it.

Not wanting this to be tit for tat and only using the following as an example, given that Liam Kelly's push on the Plymouth ball-man a couple of years ago was investigated after the game and punished subsequently then you'd think the same would follow for this.

It's not a red card offence.

Worse decision than Nigel Miller at Leeds in 2007.
Unfortunately Mr. Hicks will get away it.

How can you blame Miller for that non goal. He was not in line with so could not tell it was over line.

Reg Miller:
- Sean Thornton's red card.
- the corner that led to Carole's equaliser.
- the penalty awarded to Leeds.
- and the decision to disallow Adam Boyd a late winner. Even the Leeds players said it was a yard over the line.

Nothing will come of this. The EFA will not retrospectively punish anyone because to do so undermines their ref, and no way will thery do that.
Plymouth is a jinx ground for us, and at least we wont have to play their again this season ( fa cup baring)

In the way they didn't punish Liam Kelly after our last game there?

You're right. Almost certain that handball is only a red card if denying a credible goalscoring opportunity or goal. But still interested in what they do given this looked deliberate, it fooled the ref and resulted in a goal. Players can now be done for diving if reviewed after a game so why not?

I get your point, but they wont punish the Plymouth player this time

Good thing Churchill had a different attitude in 1940.

Depends how you move on. Like how we play our next games. Plymouth was a defeat, no reason why we shouldn’t move on and win the next few.

Quite unbelievable that this deliberate hand ball ( that lead to this goal ) was completely missed by both the linesman and the referee. So obvious and in all my years of watching football has to be up there with the most blatant handballs I have ever seen. I wonder how the two officials concerned felt after watching the video highlights on the game !!

The ref should get a suspension for missing that

Hanging is a bit drastic, then again.

I was actually checking up their forum after their defeat and the first post about a dodgy goal scored in 1983 at Brisbane Road which stood.
Unfortunately they lost my support a bit when they mentioned ball boys and moving onto the next 5h1t team.
Karma has struck today they lost 4-0.

Think I recall someone saying "Typical Orient! Only Orient could win a game 4-0 and then lose the next one 4-0". Proof that this sort of thing doesn't just happen to us.

So we win 4-0 then lose 4-0 to Plymouth who then lose 4-0 to Exeter. Bradford to beat Exeter 4-0 next week?
