Come on Prez. Compare her transgressions with Boris’ regular law-breaking.
If any MP breaks the law they should be dealt with accordingly. This isn’t a party political issue. Accordingly is the word. She has apologised and I dare say that plus the embarrassment is enough. But in her case she constantly embarrassed herself so she’ll get over it. Personally I found it hugely amusing and ironic.
Day 3 of this total non-issue and still you persist. Come on mate, tell us, why do you have such a problem with Diane Abbott? Out of all the MPs out there, what is it about this one that gets your goat so badly???

I'd have had more respect for her if she'd have popped a cork on a bottle of champagne. Can you imagine the outrage?

There’s plenty of things I don’t like about Diane but the mock outrage over this is painful
For sure her crime is nothing to get excited about, other than in her position she perhaps should be setting an example. The example being that she abides by the law. That others di it don’t make it right so that’s hardly an excuse.

So others drinking on a train and gets pulled up for it can just point to her example. The law then becomes meaningless. Less to do with the offence and more to do with the principle of abiding by the laws. Her apology is an acceptance that she got it wrong. Which she did.
Yes exactly, she’s acknowledged it so let’s move on. Why are you desperate to make something of this?

She's Shadow Home Secretary. The Home Secretary is responsible for the police service in England and Wales. The police are responsible for enforcing the law - which she broke. That's why it's important.

See Baldrick as left the Labour hierarchy after 45 years. Lack of a cunning plan. Not too keen on General Melchetts leadership either.

Even he aint that stupid at the moment. But it highlights the issues within Labour and why they have not capitalised on the current situation. 45 years a Labour activist, now out. Corbyn is a hypocritical idiot. Time for someone else. Labour should be romping ahead now and he alone is the reason they are not. Move over Darling, a new Captain is required.

She may ge getting a lot wrong but cowardly she definitely is not. Sticking to her guns despite the inevitable resignation issue. I can understand the lefties getting on the anti May bandwagon despite Corbyn being himself a useless leader, but stuff like this is utter nonsense.

I am a working class conservative voter, I did vote Labour in the past. I now find that there is no political party that truly represents me. Labour and Conservatives are packed full of career politiciations. The best councillor we ever had in my area was an old fashioned Labour man. Retired bricklayer, honest as the day was long, always there to help if you contacted him regardless of what party you voted for. Phone up Bill and he replied and did his best to sort problem out in a short times. So unlike the others before and since who only really show up at election times. I would like to get rid of many of MPs of the self-serving slippery political class and vote in more normal honest and hard-working people.

At present they would lose, but they are not going to call one now are they? By the time they are ready to fight one I’d wager that the Torres will have a new leader who will rip old jezza a new one.

I’d be more concerned that Jezza lost what was it 80 seats? When he was up against possible the weakest PM in living memory, now if he can’t even hit her right now how is he ever going to do it on a wider scale? The man is incompetent and he should resign cos until he goes labour are unelectable.

No I wouldn’t vote for either party right now.

I sincerely hope that by the next GE both parties have new leaders and we can get back to normal politics. May we know will be gone and as we have seem Corbyn can’t even capitalise on the Tory troubles.
