The complainant worked for CIA funded Anti Cuba groups in Florida and even after the alleged incident continued to have sex with JA.

The condom produced as evidence had no JA DNA on it and there is a suggestion it was unused.

The second complainant refused to sign a statement drawn up by the 1st Complainant and her policewoman friend.

Rape trials in Sweden are held in private and are not heard before a jury. This obvious CIA smear job would probably have been successful had not JA gone on the run.

It has however poisoned a lot of people's view of JA who were previously sympathetic to his cause. It's worth remembering JA brought to the public's attention the brutal murder of innocent civilians by the US military. To date no-one has faced justice.

Seems strange that the people that murdered innocent civilians are not under arrest, yet Chelsea Manning and Julian Assange who murdered no one are both under arrest.

So anonymous Labour MP, Richard Burgon, has now apologised for anti-Semitic remarks after denying he had ever made them. The grovelling apology finally arrived when video footage of him making the comments emerged.

Over to you Jeremy.

Richard Burgeon is a good guy.
Zionism is evil. Like all forms of nationalism.
Most Zionists are not Jewish, they are from various Christian denominations, so critism of it is not anti semetic.

Come on Prez. Compare her transgressions with Boris’ regular law-breaking.

She was having a drink on a train, which hundreds of people do literally every day.

There’s plenty of things I don’t like about Diane but the mock outrage over this is painful

For sure her crime is nothing to get excited about, other than in her position she perhaps should be setting an example. The example being that she abides by the law. That others di it don’t make it right so that’s hardly an excuse.

So others drinking on a train and gets pulled up for it can just point to her example. The law then becomes meaningless. Less to do with the offence and more to do with the principle of abiding by the laws. Her apology is an acceptance that she got it wrong. Which she did.

I hope you will be showing your allegiance towards our new Home Secretary by celebrating Mojito Day on June 22 (see the Standard) by downing a can on London Transport. I for one will have more than one to show my support for this misjudged public servant.

If any MP breaks the law they should be dealt with accordingly. This isn’t a party political issue. Accordingly is the word. She has apologised and I dare say that plus the embarrassment is enough. But in her case she constantly embarrassed herself so she’ll get over it. Personally I found it hugely amusing and ironic.
