Yeah but 65% of the country don’t approve of him…
If you include “Neither approve nor disapprove” in “don’t approve” 🤔

That's right, I've included the people that do not approve of him when working out the %age of people that don't approve of him.

I’d imagine his net approval will be amongst the highest in the UK

Given don’t knows don’t count either way, nobody dislikes him and some people think he’s a laugh

Despite having a charmless leader that nobody likes it looks like the Red Tories are on course for a landslide. Personally I believe that's due to the Tories being so corrupt, hateful and useless and nothing to do with Mr Charisma, Tel Aviv Keith.

I think way too much emphasis is placed on “charisma”, this isn’t Britains got Talent.

Trump is charismatic, Boris is charismatic, Farage is charismatic and what a bunch of lying, cheating, corrupt a-holes they are.

Give me a boring b*stard who’s honest and knows how to do the job.

PS - regrettably, I’m not at all sure that’s the current Labour Leader - well he’s half way there…

Yep. That, and not being daft enough to implement an election strategy optimised for Proportional Representation when it's a FPTP system you need to navigate to win.

Now one of Starmer's star players in his shadow cabinet is showing what New New Labour really is about.
Wes Streeting now in fighting mode to get more and more 'private health care' (aka 'for profit') accepted as the norm. Just like the best Tories, he labels any opponents "middle class lefties", the favoured language used by Tories and Faragists to ridicule, slag off, undermine.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... eting-says
... says the man who is sponsored in his electioneering by those companies who will profit.

The most sickening line is his claim that it's "to stop working class families being left behind".
It's a line used by all parties as an emotional manipulative trigger, but in reality usually quite meaningless.

This is a very interesting thread, started 207 pages and 5 years ago, almost to the day with a comment about Corbyn.

And now Biden is catching up. ;) :)

Labour shills in the media going into full-on "what about Terry" mode on this. Very entertaining.

She’s taking the same tack as Serkier did during Currygate. She knows she’s in the clear so can offer to resign all she likes, while making the Tories look bad. It’s a good move.

After listening to sensible Political commentating on the BBC it seems this is a case of " Move along, nothing to see here". More to the point, will Super Grass Tory deputy chairman James Daly, be later charged with wasting Police time?

Yes, thank goodness for the sensible political commentating on the BBC, and well done to them for sticking up for one of their own.

As David Lammy said this week, Angela Rayner has done nothing wrong and should not even have to face this kind of investigation, what with her being a northern woman and not in government.

Strangely BBC just published a piece by Laura Kuenssberg doing a hatchet job on Rayner. Accusing her of being: a woman who drinks and smokes and makes jokes, makes no secret of enjoying a night out, boasting once of going out from 4pm until 6am. Always safer to get a woman to attack another woman.

Well, the coverage she is getting is incredibly mealy mouthed and difficult to see what the actual accusations are. As far as I can deduce, they have given up on her being a tax avoiding scoundrel and are now accusing her of putting a wrong address on her election application. There is even talk of the whole issue not being raised in the appropriate timescale. Personally she i think she was bang on with her " Tories are scum".

Despise the man. Big mistake campaigning for him in the 1987 GE.

To be fair though I spent more time on the doorstep selling copies of the Militant than I did canvassing for the Gorgeous one.
