Macauley Bonne has got more threads on this forum than he has goals for Charlton.

Yup, great finish too. I can’t believe he’s doing so well, long may it continue.

My Charlton supporting friend said he appears to be coming on fine and complimented his work rate and how he defends in their box when the opposition have a set piece. I told him that both were the same when he was with us. At least Mrs NES and I thought so.

Do you remember those that thought he wasn’t good enough for us last season in non league?

Some people can't see the wood for the trees. I thought Sawyer was a good player for us whilst he was here.

He was ok for us, no more than that.

The same of people that said years ago sawyer was too slow
He was playing against us the other night - was he still "too slow"
I think we missed an opportunity to test Sawyer on Tues. Brophy and Dayton could have switched wings to see how Sawyer coped with Brophy's pace. Also brophy may have given Ekpiteta better cover on the right, as most of their goals came on that side.
In most circumstances I'd prefer Brophy to play on the left, but this could been an exception.
Though it's easy to say in hindsight .

What about Lundstram? He provoked a bit of whinging while he was here, even though he looked a class player for the third tier (in fact, I remember one particularly assured performance in a midfield five at Bramall Lane). Now look at him.

He was a kid when he was here and at the time not an improvement of James.

I thought he looked a very good player when he was here. He really made us tick at times. I remember him absolutely running the game when we demolished Gillingham at home. Wasn't quite as good in his second spell, but that was probably more to do with the club's ownership.
