Been a big Astros fan since my sister moved to Houston in the 80's, even when they were sh*t which had been a lot until the last four years.
Loads of late nights this last couple of weeks watching them. Hopefully do the business tonight and be in a second world series in three seasons.

Yes, both have strong pitching line up so think games will be close. Would have to favour the Stro's due to them having the best two in Verlander and Cole.

I've not been following it this year since the London games, is the yankees suffering from having a poor opening pitcher still? Is that the biggest weakness right now?

Yankees pitchers have all been first choice picks. All 4 game have been close. Houston have scored at the right times and both Cole and Grienke, when pitching poorly have dug themselves out of situations.
One positive is LA Dodgers lost so World Series games won't start at ridiculously early UK times.

Not really Thor

Just the astros pummelled them
With there pitching.

The yankees big guns have been kept quiet
By better pitching from Houston.

Yankees had bases loaded twice last night with only 1 out & couldnt deliver runs .
Yankees batting has been less than inspiring

Houston throughout the play-offs have not relied on home runs , they have managed to score by moving players around the bases.

Just to add what L'red said

Helps the Astros have the lowest batters struck out percentage and highest amount walked across the whole season. They are a patient batting team but can be explosive at the right times.
Verlander and Cole are nos. 1 and 2 ranked pitchers in the league too. Acquiring Grienke at the end of August just made them stronger

Sat directly behind the batter about 12 rows back for $25 back in 2012. That was one advantage of them being so bad back then.

Remember it being $5.00 in the 90's when they were playing in the Astrodome

I paid about $20 at Yankee Stadium back in the 90's

I cannot understand why they don't have VAR for pitches. In a clip I watched the last Yankee batter in the 11 innings was given out to a ball 4 inches off the plate, inevitably the Astros walked off in the bottom of the eleventh.

I cannot understand a word you just said, but then again, all American sports are a bit of a mystery to me

But he should have been called out the pitch before but he claimed he 'fouled it' away but he never touched it and Houston couldn't review the decision. Guess it was umpire evening things up.

Plus the plate Or box is an individual piece of each umpires mind

Some have much tighter zones than others even though they are supposedly regulatory.

Have only ever seen one game, Oakland A’s when in San Francisco. Quite enjoyed it, would have more if I understood what the batting stats meant and the subtleties of the pitching and batting. I think it’s a game, like American football, thzt I could get to like.

Will be a really interesting series. Both great pitching line ups.
Astros should edge it though. Going for 4-2 series win.
