Game postponed becuase of fears of civil unrest.
If Spain split with Catalonia ( unlikely )
Where would Barcelona play hypothetically.
Spain, France , or would they create a New league with the Basque teams ?

Why not in Barcelona?
Afterall Monaco play in Monaco but in the French League
Guernsey & Jersey play on their respective islands but are in the English Pyramid
Berwick, based in England are in the Scottish pyramid

I meant what league Spen
Hypothetically you'd expect Barca to
be slung out of la liga for punishment
if there was a split between
Spain & Catalonia.

I doubt la Liga would want to be without Barcelona's money.

Why should they be thrown out of La Liga?
La Liga is separate from the Spanish Government
in any event, Catalonia is not going to get its independence, but if it did, I am sure the Premier League would welcome Barcelona with open arms. Fans would love it...imagine away trips to Barcelona

Hence the postponement due to a threat of violence .
Think along the lines of what heppened with Boca & River in the Libertadores.
Remember spen this is Hypothetical so reign

Ok then hypothetically Catalonia is not going to get independence any time soon so the question is hypothetical
Hypothetically the premier league would welcome them
Hypothetically
hypothetically
Is that enough hypothetically for you?
PS what legal eagle nonsense. You are the only person mentioning anything to do with legal eagles. I have made no reference to anything to do with the law

But hypothetically if it did
Actually .
Spen you are completely correct.

You really need to get a grip, you asked a question, I provided several answers for it, Clearly none of them meet with your approval.
I provided exam-ples of numerous teams that play in leagues outside their location.
I pointed out that the La Liga and the Spanish Government are separate so its unlikely that Catalonia getting independence would affect their position in La Liga, as incidentally did at least one other person , but you ignore that.
Then I also pointed out the Premier League would probably welcome them as would Premier League fans
Despite all thqt and no mention of anything to do with the law, you get in a strop and accuse me of coming over all legal eagle.
It seems its you who is trying to dictate what people can say not me.
PS As someone who is colourblind, I find your repeated use of colour accusations to be offensive and insensitive to those of us who are colour blind

Yes but didn't the rules change at some point? All the teams mentioned are allowed in the English leagues for example. However, when it was put out that Rangers and Celtic would come to the Englaih league there was talk of starting in league 2, that even when they got to the premier league they would never be able to compete in a European competition.
So I don't think it's as easy of oh come on lads let's go play in the German league for example.

I'm not sure I have understood your point here, but here goes
Jersey joined the English Pyramid this season
Guernsey joined in 2012
Others joined different leagues at different times. There appear to be no hard and fast rules.
There are Welsh teams in English pyramid and in Welsh pyramid. Colwyn Bay were in English, then Welsh, then English and moved back to Wales this season. Those moves are all in the last 30 years!
Its similar at International Level where you find Israel have played in several World Cup qualifying regions. The authorities will make determinations to suit themsleves or the situation...as they did by keeping Israel out of the Middle East (Arab) qualification groups
As say Orient are members of the English FA, they would have to consent before Orient could join the German League. The German FA would also have to be agree. If Barcelona were kicked out of La Liga, they wouldn't be under the authority of the Spanish FA after independence

So maybe a New league with Catalonian & possibly basque teams would be formed.
Changing tje iberian leagues system forever possibly.

If Catalonia splits from Spain, it could be very much on the cards for the basque people to create a place of their own as like catalonia , they are not a lover of Madrid & spanish control.
Hence the possibility of a new iberian league.
You must remember spain is a union of different ancient provinces/people to traditional spaniards.

Also its said that if Catalonia gained their independence then for Barca to stay in that league would need a whole new law from the Spanish government to allow them to play. As Barca as a club back the independence I'd suggest that the Spanish government may not jump over hurdles to let them stay or make it easy for them.

You are inventing things and blaming them on me.
My first answer was that there was no reason they wouldn't be in La Liga if Catalonia got independence as the league & government are separate.
My next answer said independence wouldn't happen , but if it did the Premier League would welcome them
Shame the answers I gave do not treat it as non hypothetical, but do play along with your fantasy scenario

For someone who was complaining before you were talking about a hypothetical situation you seem to have switched to a legalistic approach
Governments interfering with the national FA results in FIFA suspending the FA or theeateni g to do so.
The Spanish Constitution does not in any event say anything about nationality of teams in La Liga

Make spen right on this one. FC Andorra are in the Spanish Segunda B so doubt there's a law in place that would need to be amended.

It is indeed a hypothetical point I was making so your brain was switched on, just like when I brought a legal potential situation it may well yet face. Leander Schaerlaeckens who is a sports communication lecturer at Marist College and writes for yahoo put out a peice on this very matter and it stated that a change in law would be required to allow the Catalonian clubs to play I in a Spanish league.
It’s called research, try it sometime.
