BigRon reckons he heard today it's Calderwood. The suspense continues.

What about Byways ??
Are you saying he’s been overlooked.

Interesting and bold ( or risky depending on your view) choice if correct.

Hopefully we will get the pick of any Bournemouth loan players on offer

Betting has come back up with Paddy, he is favourite at 1.36.

Not so sure why he is being considered.... no manager job in quite a while. Did he know Ross at Bournemouth or something?

For me the criteria should be the same as when we appointed Justin, ie. experience of promotion from this League, before considering whether he could fit into the structure, it would have to be something quite special to override it.

If our new manager is currently employed elsewhere than that blows Byways cheap manager option clean out of the water.

Yes, that would be handy.

Potential disaster. No experience, poor win rate, out of first team management for some time. Will be learning on the job and a hopeful punt. Not for me.

Relax, its not him. It sounds like we have Colin Calderwood.

But why? Because he has a job? So do Currie and McMahon and potentially other candidates in the final few.

Yes but they don't have the same level of experience that Calderwood has .

Can't see it being Calderwood now.

It would seem a bit snake-like considering he denied talking about the job before.

Perhaps in a year or so if the next guy doesn't work out.

Don’t want this guy at all. Would want currie or McMahon or challinor over him. Poor decision if he is new manager considering we need someone who’s got a bit of experience and this guys been out of a job for ages

I was told it was him and we’ve paid £60k to get him, not sure on either point, but it’s what I was told.

What points are you not sure about? That you were told something, that £60k was mentioned or Carl Fletcher was named?

I'd be very disappointed if it is Carl Fletcher for all the reasons Nutty stated.

Simply Baffling if true. What's on his CV? A 15 month spell in charge of Plymouth Argyle some 5+ years ago during which time he wracked up a win% of 24%. That's it. They played 70 games, won 17, drew 27 and lost 26. In no sense can you make that sound good. If we do appoint 'Fletch' and it goes predictably t*ts up then there is going to be a fair but of anger because it seems so blindingly predictable. I also don't care a jot if he's a nice bloke. He's not a drinking buddy, he's the manager of my bloody football team.

Don't know much about him so had a Google.

If he's worked under Eddie Howe for 5 years, you would hope he has picked up a lot of his management style & ideas.
It's probably someone playing tricks, like all the other names mentioned, but whoever it is, be it Adams, Challinor, Currie or Fletcher let's not criticise them before they've even taken a training session.
