Re: Derek Adams
Would prefer him over Calderwood.
He has history of taking an assistant with him (Craig Brewster), and also cleared out the coaches (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/33106635) at Plymouth, so that goes against him. Maybe he could be persuaded against it.
Not sure if he is known to the coaches here, or has a network of contacts in the area. Probably makes only a small difference but someone known to London clubs might make it easier to borrow players.
My own gut feeling is that he doesn't tick as many boxes as Justin did, and getting 4 points in 2 games means we can afford to wait for a bit. If we win next week as well it takes even more pressure off.

Re: Derek Adams
Would be a good appointment. Had just one bad season at Plymouth otherwise his team's were always completing.
Hope he doesn't bring his ball boys with him though.

Re: Derek Adams
He signed some very good players for Plymouth Argyle and I think he would improve the squad. This was would be an excellent appointment someone calm, considered and with the experience we need.

Re: Derek Adams
Good record and a promotion on his CV but isn't one who is popular with fans, blames everyone but himself when things are going against him. Still better than the other candidates though.

Re: Derek Adams
Yes please although he lived in the highlands and Plymouth. Both very nice parts of the world. Not sure he will fancy a 2 bed overlooking a football pitch in stabby city.

Re: Derek Adams
I'd be happy enough with Derek Adams if we got him . Anyway what goes on In the heat of battle over 90 minutes is a long way away from working with each other on a day to day bases.

Re: Derek Adams
If he is hired I hope his football is not as boring as how his demeanour/personality comes across.

Re: Derek Adams
It's Derek Adams for me - decent record and still learning. The incident at Plymouth might as well a million years ago.

Re: Derek Adams
He was asst to Calderwood at Hibernian so maybe that is the reason Ling spoke to Calderwood to get his input. A yes for me

Re: Derek Adams
I guess it depends on who else is in the final four, but he's a good candidate in his own right.saltaire69 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 2:32 pm It's Derek Adams for me - decent record and still learning. The incident at Plymouth might as well a million years ago.
