Phil Parkinson would be good, but would he come. I doubt it.

If Byways does nick this will the moderators be putting his name forward to the club? I know it's a long shot but we could be shooting ourselves in the foot if this does happen.

If Byways gets it we'll all be slitting our wrists as he's so Boring & negative.
His football would be so Boring, they would start serving Horlicks & Ovaltene in the supporters club.

He'd never get to games he'd be pissing up in the British Legion.

You lot will be carrying me shoulder high after we win the L 2 title next season.
And no the football will not be boring, we will play a very aggressive 4 4 2 with two out an out wingers in the Orient tradition. One big lump up front along side a little one.
We will be scoring goals for fun with none of this passing it around the back hoping the opposition die of boredom.
Play players in their correct position and let them play with no fear and them blokes in the dugout can get rid of their iPads which seems to impress the impressible. Mind you I would have to have my own coaching staff and I certainly wouldn’t be to keen on working under a DOF unless he kept his nose out and let me have final say on all signings.

And good value as well.
@£3.30 for a pint of Directors.
And you might get to rub shoulders with Jimmy Husband.

Whilst everyone else plays 3 in midfield. Good luck getting the ball.

Yep 3 being outnumbered by 4.
What an idiot.
You can have all the systems in the world it will make no difference, if the opposition have better more motivated players than yours then they will win 8 times out of 10.

Byways now confirmed as 3rd favourite. Is Martin Ling taking notice of this poll?

It’s looking like Calderwood.
I certainly wouldn’t be unhappy with that choice, vastly experienced and knows the lower leagues well.

Are you playing with 2 out and out wingers or 2 wide players that are tucking in? You can't be doing both at the same time, as you seem to think. My team would beat your team.

I think you have 4 2 4 in mind.
That’s if you have a mind to have in.

Nope, 442. 2 central midfielders vs 3. 442 is dead. Get with the times.

Doesn’t look like there is much enthusiasm for Colin Calderwood on here.

Get Phil Parkinson in the building, Ling.

Stop procrastinating.

My god another clown who has been brainwashed by Sky Sports.
I tell you what, we could play any system you like against any Premiership club and will get hammered in almost every game. It’s about the quality of the players you have and generally the ones with bigger budgets will finish higher.
Of course if you have a manager the players don’t believe in then you have no chance.
There you go a nice free lesson for you.

I don't have SKY Sports or BT Sports and I certainly don't value the banal punditry or archaic analysis you get on there. If anything they would agree with you, not me, because they're neanderthals. The game is still XI individuals vs XI individuals in their minds.

Seriously, apply for the Orient job. Write your CV laying out what you have said here. Let us know how it goes.
