To save all you lot hoping we are going to get Phil Parkinson or someone else of that class I will put you out of your misery, it’s going to be...........
Daryl McMahon or Kevin Nugent or for a long shot Ian Hendon.

Confidently predicting Sol Campbell, an internal appointment, Nugent or McMahon.

Do you have trouble reading “wally”
My choice is Sol Campbell and if the club are ambitious they will go out and get him.
The were clearly hoping that Ross would be a success in the hope that they wouldn’t need to look outside with all the cost of that and no guarantee of success.
They are now apparently looking outside. I don’t believe all the talk about CVs etc coming in and sifting through them nonsense, I believe Ling will appoint someone he has worked with before and that will be one of the 3 names above.
In my opinion they are not in the same league as Sol and we should not be looking at another failure. McMahon has hardly covered himself in glory at Macclesfield with 2 wins in eleven.

Firstly, we need a manager that wants the job.
Secondly, they have to fit in with the existing framework and culture.
Thirdly, probably someone with good experience and has a sense of loyalty. I don't think someone like Sol Campbell would come into this bracket.

However, whoever becomes manager will always have my full backing.

Do not expect any of those.

My initial thought after JE passed, was to bring in Slade for a season, as i thought that we would be to inward looking.

We need a manager of similar ilk to JE, but not sure who fits that bill.

I think Campbell showed exceptional loyalty to Macclesfield.
Also exceptional leadership qualities.
Just think what he could do if he got paid regularly.

Only suitable candidate to be on the shortlist.

Sol Campbell, Nugent and McMahon are far too tall

Daryl McMahon or Kevin Nugent or for a long shot Ian Hendon, Why????
Sorry none of the above, we need experienced manager.
McMahon struggling at Macclesfield
Nugent & Hendon Big fat No’s!

Club knows experience is needed, Club knows we need to get it right and if that means paying ££££, then they need to do it and get in Parkinson or Cotterill!

I think you are living in a dream world if you believe that.
The fact is the money is not there to bring in someone of that experience and the likelihood is they will not want our coaching team.
The new manager will be someone Ling has worked with before.

Cotterill will not get a look in, will not be on the shortlist and certainly won’t get an interview.

Good shout.
Another close friend of Ling who ticks a lot of the boxes.
One thing that is sure, it will be someone Ling has worked with before which doesn’t make them the best candidate.
If I was the owner I would be asking some serious questions if he takes this route.

Hasn’t done much for over 10 years.
Just signed a new 2 year contract with Cambridge.

I was on the balcony yesterday, never saw anybody of note. Matt Porter, Danny Macklin and Martin Ling were there, certainly didn't see Nolan.
