Turley

Simply would having Turley in the back 4 make a positive difference? We can score enough goals as long as we stop shipping so many.
Coulson seems a NL standard player and no more.
Everyone, well not every one, slags Ling off but the fact Widdowson is targeted by the opposition gives you an indication of where teams see our weakness.

All full backs are targeted as soon as game begins, that's what they're there for, find the weak link in the team asap

No disrespect to Turley but I honestly think you are mistaken if you think he’s going to find the step up any easier than Coulson ( or Ekpiteta for that matter).

I got a bad feeling that people might be expecting Turley to be some kind of saviour....
If you look at his past he is the typical National League defender who had some short spells in League Two. Physically impressive, but I reckon a smart striker would get the better of him. I also don't believe he is any better than Happe, Ekpiteta or Coulson although obviously our defenders aren't having the best run of form.
Both full-backs have been exploited this season by the opposition. It's been very poor. Widdowson certainly hasn't been talked about much, but there hasn't been a PR offensive by the club to pretend he is a good player.
I would stick him in at right-back when he recovers but there is no chance of that.

Same here, I thought when he was playing his reaction times seemed a bit slow. If he's the answer, I'm not sure what the question is

As someone said previously the injured players have a heightened sense of value due to their absence. In the 5-3-2 he'd struggle as we saw a little bit at Wembley when trying to go forward.
In a flat 4 in a more defensive stance (think Andrew Whing or Scott Cuthbert at RB) he'd be tested but do a job thanks to his physicality and deceptive speed chasing back.
Both Ling and Widdowson look worse than they are in the 5 at the back as they're not suited to going forward and seem to be unsure of their positioning when teams get in behind. Go back to basics, let Joe stick to being solid defensively and offload the ball to Brophy or whoever is in front of him to attack.

Just thinking that he is a no nonsense player and may not make the mistakes by trying to play football and just clear the ball. Don't expect him to be a great improvement on what we have but I don't think it can be any worse.

Beginning to think Turley is another sick note like Dayton.

Did you see the tackle that broke Dayton's ankle?
Can't see how that makes him a sick note.

Fair point. At least Turley’s return will increase competition and also allow the new HC the option of resting defenders who may be carrying a knock or are struggling form wise.

Hello stalker.
Is that the only injury he has had with us?
As I said, sick note.

As a I said earlier what a w@nker.
You must be one hell of a bitter soul to be so negative about everything in the club.
