It all makes sense
Slades assistant
Knows the club well.
And will work under a DOF.
He would not get a managers job at any other league club so clearly a step up for him.
A totally wrong appointment though.

If, and I'll say that again, ........if, Nugent were to become Head coach, it would be a terrible decision. We might as well keep Ross in that position

I've heard his name pop up more times in the rumour mill than I'd like. Fits the bill of a cheap, old boys' club appointment who won't rock the boat for Ling too much.
As above not the guy we need at all, did nothing in his previous spell in the role and would be another #2 doing the #1 job.

Probably won’t get it as he will have to work with Ling and will want his own back room team.
It depends whether the owners have any real ambition.
I can see all the good work being wasted and the gates will be back down to 4500 with this crap being served up.
