Does anyone know if we (under the past owner) remembered to put in a sell-on clause?

He was sold after Travis/Teague took over, wasn`t he?
They took over in June (17), and Alzate was sold in July.

Surely when we sell a young player with obvious potential we not only include a sell on clause but also add ons relating to appearances.

Given we let them all go for peanuts, I wouldn't be so sure.

Redo, you are right on that point. I see young players leave clubs like Peterborough, Exeter etc for million plus, while we as you say let them go for a pittance.

They have sold 1 player for £1M+ in the last 4 years.

I'd take that, Red Army.

We sold Moses for that amount 5 years ago.

Just shows what you can achieve if you give them some game time.
Not sure that really helped the club sadly, given the timing of it. Bazza was a slippery so and so.

"Orient will receive a fee for the signature of the teen and are understood to have a sell-on clause in the deal".

I would have hoped that with experienced bosses that have run or served on publicly quoted companies that our days of selling cheaply and without add ons were over.
I hope I'm right. If I'm not then some serious wising up needs to happen.

I hope there was a clause for additional payments to us when he made the Brighton first team and further payments based on appearances. I would think a decent young Championship or Premier League midfield prospect is worth way over a million.
