Has anything really changed?
It looks to me that the club have no intention of bringing in a manager from outside.
Ling is apparently very relaxed in his approach for a new manager and is quite prepared to let the same coaching team carry on.
It seems to me that he is hoping results pick up so he can appoint Webb or Jobi.

Not too sure how you work that out from the interview.

Really?
“Not going to put a time scale on it”
Creating a shortlist of 6.
It’s called kicking the can down the road to keep the fans off their back.
Nothing has changed.

You want to get it sorted quick and get the wrong man in? Do you remember last time we done that? We went on a 21 game winless run. It's called being sensible. Something it seems you can't realise.

Because whatever Ling said he'd have found fault with. It's his thing.

It might even take another ten games on top of the previous 3 months.
If we win a couple let’s give them until the end of the season.
One born every minute.
If the club are serious we will have a new boss by Saturday.

I shall name two.
Danny Webb or Jobi mcanuff
From the Ling interview there is no way they are bringing in an outsider anytime soon.
This move yesterday will keep people happy for a while in the hope we might win a few games and then give one of the above the job permanently.
Cheap option.

It looks to me that the club have no intention of bringing in a manager from outside.
Ling is apparently very relaxed in his approach for a new manager and is quite prepared to let the same coaching team carry on.
It seems to me that he is hoping results pick up so he can appoint Webb or Jobi.
And who is picking the team for Saturday?

You've forgotten mate! Sol will be through the door before the weekend!

Not after the Ling interview.
No one will be coming in anytime soon.
A couple of wins and Webb will get the Job.

I just called Matt Porter back, who's been trying to get hold of me all afternoon. Anyway, Lingy asked him to call me to see if I had your number because you seem to know so much they were thinking of offering you the job. I've told him to join the forum and send you a pm, so keep an eye out for a message in your inbox.

Couldn’t afford me.
I would want my own backroom staff and would not work under a DOF.
If my heads on the block I have full control that means assistants and final choice in the players coming in.
I don’t want a coffee with Martin either.
I might consider a pint of Real Ale though.

Nah that ain’t happening. An external candidate will be brought in. Jobi will be then built up to be the potential successor in due course.

Didn't when we appointed JE have three or four games with RE in charge guess it will be the same now. The new manager will probably be in the seat middle of October.

So that's who byways is time for a blocking so I don't have to read his nonsense. I thought he'd have retired on his 1000's he won on betting for us to go down.

Whilst it may be feasible it’s not going to happen.

The owners have said they want to return to league 1 ASAP and Kent was quoted on the podcast of saying he wants to get to the championship within x years (can’t remember the exact number). You will not achieve that without the right person to lead the team and right now we need someone of stature to lead, develop, and prepare.

From what I see on the pitch, in the press and how he carries himself I think Jobi will be a good shout one day however, I understand he’s still doing his badges so is counted out right now, but in the future I’d love him to be at the helm of this club, the man is class. Now though he needs to suck it all up, enhance his coaching credentials and be a sponge off the back of the new person so as to continue his education and prepare for the time he’s ready.
