Maybe, but his music is not for me.
Me neither.

Don’t think you last 40 odd years at the top of the entertainment business if you’re no good.
Doesn’t do it for me very often, but I know some real Springsteen nuts (there’s a couple on here, too).

Not a huge fan.
Much prefer his moaning songs to his up tempo stuff.
Spoken like a true Smiths fan

I really liked his Seeger sessions stuff. He has written some great music over his career, and he comes across like one of the good guys in life.

Cant stand Born in The USA and his his version of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, but Born To Run is in my all time fav list.

If only he could sing a song instead of shouting a song all the time. He's hardly melodic.

Here’s a birthday toast to Bruce, who turns 70 today.
What an incredible career. He is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon either.
My favourite solo artist, the fact his guitarist was a star in the Sopranos makes it better
How did Lillehammer go down in Norge? Had to give up after the first series myself despite wanting to love it

Lillehammer? I was not too impressed TBH.
Talking of his guitarists. Pretty, pretty good.

Born In The USA is rubbish IMHO, the only two songs by him that I like are Born To Run and Dancing In The Dark. This is decent version of the latter with him bringing his mother and sister on stage with him.

Why, because he was born in the USA?

I also liked Clarence Clemons and the Red Bank Rockers.

On radio 2 there is an advert of Springsteen talking and he sounds like he’s from the south, yet I always thought he was from New Jersey. He certainly doesn’t speak like he’s from there which surprised me somewhat.
As for him as a recording artist in my humble opinion I think he is overrated. For the benefit of Clive Evans, this is not presented as a fact, nor a conspiracy just an opinion please feel free to agree or disagree or even post an opinion of your own which can indeed be different from my own.

What a bizarre post.

I have been fortunate to see Bruce many times over the years.
He is an outstanding writer, performer and band leader.
The range of output over his career has been immense.
Give the Darkness on the Edge of Town, Born to Run, or Western Stars albums a listen, it will be time well spent

His output in the last decade has been pretty w*nk
