Feel a bit gutted about that. He was asked to compete in a higher division with a weaker team. Would like to see Jobi take over if he gets his badges. If Sol Campbell gets it i am staying at home.

A good, honest man. I reckon this will actually ease the pressure on everyone over the next few weeks until the replacement is announced.

Yeah, of course it's a bit sad. And those points are all very fair, it is a weaker side than last season, in a higher division. But we still shouldn't be a bottom 4 side.

Jobi isn't the answer yet either.

The players haven’t exactly covered themselves in Glory in the past few games and should take their share of responsibility.
Ross has done the right thing and has done his best in difficult circumstances.
We need to get behind Ross and the team on Saturday.

Good decision in my opinion. He could see the way things were going and realised he may be out of his depth. Nice statement from Ross on the website and glad to see he’s kept his old post.
It’s not really a case of ‘well done moaners’, I doubt the powers that be pay much attention to the squabbles on here. Hopefully we’ll get an experienced efl manager in, not sure about Sol or Jobi.

Agreed. Sad it had to come to this but the correct decision has been arrived at. Very important now that the best possible replacement is sought to take over the reins.

Our moaner fans make me sick. Salford only have 2 more points than us. Are their fans calling for Alexander to step down?

Appointing Ross was the only possible decision after the tragedy. At least he has given the new manager a better chance of success now that the bereavement is less top of mind.

The timing is good though. The new guy will hopefully have time to assess the squad and determine our recruitment needs before the January window opens.

I said all along that this must have been agreed when he took the job on. Ross really wouldn’t want to be remembered for damaging the hard work of last season and and spoiling Justin’s legacy, and once he felt he wasn’t up to it then he’s done the honourable thing. It’s the right decision too, and he should be applauded. I’m glad he’ll still be our coach, so it’s a good outcome for everyone, I think.

It's the right move, though from the text looks like he hasn't stepped down yet but will be stepping down when we have a new manager in.

Why is that you fact you told us it was coming relevant? Do you feel it makes your views more valid than others?

Dont be ridiculous, and all emotional. No doubt it was Ross's own decision, and wants back his former role. Nothing to do with being hounded out.

Stop talking about spoiling Justin's legacy FFS. However your first sentence is spot on - I didn't think it would happen this quickly but we were always going to get another manager in once everyone had come to terms with events. Shouldn't really have been that hard to work out given the 'interim' in Ross's job title.

Fair play to Ross for making this decision, it’ll be interesting to see how the players react on Saturday.

As regards to his replacement I would love to see the club try and get Gareth Ainsworth. I know he’s managing in a higher league, but I’m sure we could come up with a financial package which could tempt him. I’m sure he would get instant respect from players and staff at the club.
