On the Radio today talking about his experience at Macclesfield, he would be a great for us.
Has all the makings of an excellent manager.

Why, what's he achieved as a manager?
Nothing other than walking away from a similar club to ours.

I think that’s a little insulting comparing us to Macclesfield.
We pay our staff for a start.
When you hear him talk he sounds like a leader, our fella unfortunately doesn’t.
So don’t be surprised if he is our next manager in the next week or two.

Achieved survival when the club was 7pts adrift and looking dead and buried. Would've took that at the time when we were heading out of L2 under the clown.

If Sol Campbell takes over in the next couple of weeks I will tear my season ticket up 😒

Not sure why people dont have a good word to say about Sol Campbell. He would do better than Ross for a start

If Ross had taken over at Macc, when they were five points behind anyone else, as Sol did, I would be surprised if he could have saved them like Sol did

Id welcome Sol if he were manager here

Got no idea what the problem is with Sol Campbell. The guy did a magnificent job at Macclesfield with less than nothing. I’d be very pleased with someone like him here.

No more experienced or proven than what we already have.

And we've had this thread before.

Also doubt the OTF would approve.

Regardless of peoples thoughts about him in the past, he showed what he could achieve at a basket case club with next to nothing to work with,Ross unfortunately can not do that, a kid in a mans job, no gravitas what so ever, give Sol a chance see what happens

Stellar career in football. Players would look up to him & his name would entice players. Excellent job at Macc. Sadly Ross is not known in football

People need to get real. Orient's fanbase is mainly Spurs fans going to see their second club

You'd struggle to get 1,000 at home games if he became manager

............This is a massive slur & libel on the famous Orient fans. I demand an immediate retraction. Needs to be brought to the attention of the Immoderators. I as a lapsed Chelsea fan feel inconsolably insulted.

Macclesfield were 5 points adrift of safety when he took over and only survived with a week to go, hardly a stellar achievement. He won 8 matches of the 30 he has managed, a win ratio of 27% & some of you want him here?
The self proclaimed 'one of the greatest minds in football' hasn't exactly been brilliant. So many better out there in my opinion, including our current trio coaching the team.
Be patient and give the guys a chance before posting negative and undermining crap like promoting this individual.

Shows what type of person PAM is, doesn't it? Bit much expecting an apology from a Trump like person. Can never find an Immoderator when you need one. Probably out shopping for his vegetables.

I see you have become full club stooge now....

What sort of win ratio is acceptable then?

When Martin Ling originally took over in 2003, he had a win ratio of 33% (12 wins from 36). Few complained that he was manager going into the next season despite the fact we were almost relegated, because he was dealt a very bad hand going into the job and we had to rebuild.

Would it not be fair to say that Campbell was dealt a bad hand when going in, and as such his results should be assessed as such? He exceeded expectations in difficult circumstances as it turns out, in the same way that if Ross delivers a 18th place finish people would be kissing his ass.

Seems a shame to compromise your intelligence just to defend someone.....

I agree with you.

I don't want Sol Campbell, I don't think he is the right man at this time and if results deteriorate I'd rather go for a bit more experience.

That said, give the man credit for last season. If there were Macclesfield fans saying 'he only got 27% wins last year, we could do better', fans would be rounding on them calling them morons, and rightly so.

Got nothing against him, I hope he gets a job somewhere else.

Not really sure that he is worse than Ross, if you were to bet who would go further as football manager I'd probably go for Sol.
