Dave Artell is not overly impressed by his teams showing at the O’s last night!

And he shouldn`t be. They were lucky.

Crewe supporting friend told me much the same thing.

They had several chances to make it 2-1 before they got the winner, including a penalty shout or two.

Even when under par, they still had enough to beat us. That should be a worry.

Don`t forget that we were very close to beat the league leaders four days ago.

We have now played the current top four, taken four points and were a couple of minutes away from picking up three more points (Exeter and Crewe). We didn't defend well last night but only Swindon have played us off the park.

Why was it there worst performance? Was this down to how we played?

I think 2 things came out from last night. Firstly, defence is struggling and secondly, cohesion in the team. We played as if the ball was a hot potato, which we have not done in previous games.

Well let's face it, intentional or not, it still comes across as an indirect piss take on us.

Exactly. Defence is becoming a problem with conceding late goals

Actually Red, and apart from other problems, the defence IS a problem.

I thought Crewe were pretty good, better than us overall - sad to say.

Correct. Two goals per game conceded over the last 8 matches in the league and they've gone in at all stages of the game. Two in the first half at Mansfield. Three against Swindon. It must be fixed.

Surely the Worry would be that even though Marv was in the right place according to you,
He still wasnt able to clear it & instead, allowed the crewe player an easy goal.
