Defending corners

Post by Ronnie Hotdogs »

Wilkinson left up top on his own.

What the hell is that all about?

The slowest forward player we have. The tallest forward player we have. Wouldn’t it be obvious to send Connor back and leave Brophy or Angol up too as the out ball?

Totally agree. Last season Bonne was back for all corners. But what do we know?

Swindon had no height so I can understand that defensively we were ok. But still makes sense to leave some pace up there for a quick counter.

Bonne was absolutely brilliant at winning balls in from corners at the near post. You can also bet Swindon wouldn’t have been able to play out from the back like they did today if macca was still with us.
