They might give you a kid for £1, but they don't then tell you the fortune it costs to feed them, educate them, entertain them until they are 18 (or older) and bugger off from home

Remember a kid is for life, not just Saturday afternoon

100 or so seats left in the West, maybe 50 or so in both the North and South, the East is the only stand with real availability. Looks like it's going to be a sell out crowd.

If that’s the case I won’t bother going.
I will save my £22 but fully expect there to be loads of empty seats that are sold for a £1 but haven’t turned up.

Strange byways you can buy in advance for £20 many different options to do this but no you decide to throw your dummy out your pram over £2
And this is the man who goes on and on about attendances 🤡
Thanks for staying away and proving yourself wrong

Does kids for a quid apply to the entire stadium?

Would it not make sense to make this applicable to the family stand only?

The reason I say this, I’ve seen a few occasions where naive parents have bought their little darlings to a match because it was the £5 ticket thing only to act incredulous at some of the fruity language chucked around.

It’s a difficult one. I don’t condone incessant swearing, but I also don’t think that we should all sit silently and applaud politely like a 19th century game of cricket. Nothing wrong with a bit of effing and jeffing as long as it’s not abuse of the racial/sexuality/religious/gender type.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a number of parents came to one game and never returned, thus defeating the point of cheap tickets which are to encourage new supporters.

Having said all this, I’ve been informed that the family stand isn’t exactly a crèche.

I'm surprised at how little our kids pick up on the swearing when they come to games. I'm not sure whether that reflects well on me or not

I learnt to swear at football. I'd rather my kids (if the time comes) learn the words and that they are not to be used in normal discourse than be shielded from it forever.

When kids play in muck, their immune systems learn to combat the threats.

There’s plenty of seats available according to the Online map of the stadium.
No excuse not to go really.

Might pop in the SC afterwards for a couple more.

I don’t drink keg bitter nor do I object to paying an extra £2 on the day.

So it’s the clubs fault that you decide to go at 3pm?
And it’s the clubs fault that they are not having a cash turnstile
Laughable 😂
