Upset yes I can understand that, but surely that's not a mental health problem. I think getting rid of the stigma attached to mental health has gone too far. This infers that those struggling with mental health problems are really just 'a bit upset and should pull themselves together', which is exactly what needs to be addressed.

Well done. One of the main issues is that mental health problems are often hidden. I guess lots of people will be very upset by what's happened at Bury but will get on with life but for others it might be a tipping point so well done for offering help to those who need it. Cant see why anyone would have a problem with that.

Depression is a mild form of mental illness, how many of us have suffered depression through supporting Orient?

Amazing how out of touch with the world some on heee are. Especially considering we almost went bust so can probably almost imagine how their fans feel.

Hardly in need of professional help.
Sad yes but come on there are a million worst things that happen to people than a football club going bust.

Why don’t you go to talk to them? That seems to be your way of soothing personal anguish.

How do you know? Some people use football to help with mental health problems, some people are lonely and football helps them meet like minded people. Football clubs and supporting your club is sometimes more than just watching 90 mins on a Saturday

Why is it? Some people with mental illness use football clubs to help them deal with issues, once that’s gone, they lose that help. How is it that hard to understand?

I think a reality check is required.
Blimey if supporting a football club sends you over the edge, you must have problems.
Just have a walk around the local kids hospital and see them dying of cancer, it makes everything else really not that important.

You haven’t understood the point I’m making. It’s fine, I can’t make it clearer, let’s move on.

Fair enough.
Maybe I’m a different age group.
Sometimes some people do need tough love.

Mental well-being is no laughing matter, unless you are Spin or EH16.

Well yes, that’s the point. The people who may need this support being offered do indeed have ‘problems’.

I like your proposed treatment idea. Show them some dying kids and tell them to pull themselves together. 👍
