I would expect the gate to be around 7000.
If we canโt get that on a day there is no Premiership action then we have got problems.

To get 7000 people in to watch a league 2 game would be phenomenal, 6000 would be a great achievement, get some perspective mate.

Not really.
Cheap kids tickets, no premiership games.Swindon will bring 1200. If we canโt get 7000 to turn up I suggest that Kent should stop wasting his time and money and sponsor his local hospice or something.

If you seriously think that the extra 1200+ fans turned up to pay ยฃ20 as a tribute to JE I think you are somewhat deluded and wide of the mark.
My guess is that of load of freebies were given out that day, hence the subsequent 25% drop since.
Getting people to turn up and pay a fiver or nothing at all is not a problem, get them to part with ยฃ20 and they will think twice.

Blimey I have just had a look.
Not one professional game on in London on Saturday.
If we canโt get 7000 then you might as well say Leyton doesnโt deserve a Football club.
Is it a fiver to get in?

Just checked ยฃ20 +
A lot of people are not prepared to pay that on a semi regular times.

Do you resent people having holidays
Other commitments be it family/work etc we are not all super fans like you

Correct.
Orient have great attendances for league 2 (and decent away following too).

I said to my Brother in law after the Cheltenham game that we seem to have discovered a couple of 1000 more fans.
Two weeks later a 20% drop and the following game another drop.
I know the owners are doing all they can to increase support but history shows the that about 4300 to 4800 is our limit. You can increase that by giving away free tickets but thatโs not going to pay the wage bill.
In 73 when I started going the home gate was around 7500 and we were in the top 3 for most of the season. I just donโt think there is a cat in hells chance of getting much above 4800 paying the standard price on a regular basis but I await to be proved wrong.
Please remember Barry tried everything to get the gates up nothing really worked.

There were times when in L1 when we would get regularly around 4,000 home support through the turnstyles and sub 3,000 on a tuesday night. This despite having the best team of a generation. Last season we were getting regularly over 6,000 in non league. The club have made great strides in this area

In 73 we were in the equivalent of the championship. If we were in the championship we'd sell out every week

I remember not that long ago 4,000 would be a decent crowd. These days, if there are less than 4,000 home fans that is a disappointment. With 1,200 away fans, some okay results, holidays over and no other football in the capital apart from the England game, I'd be disappointed with anything less than 6,500.

Correct,
But the price has now gone up and I think you will find a lot of those games weโre a fiver.
But I await to be proved wrong.
The next couple of years we will know the answer.

I may be wrong but the Hartlepool match was a fiver and 6,000 plus. We did one more i believe but can't remember which game. But we had several normally priced Saturdays with 6,000 plus and even managing near 5,000 on Tuesday nights. We definitely have more season ticket holders these days. We had 2,800ish in L1 and now have over 4,000. This has definitely helped

It's true though, isn't it?
