Why didn't the Nevilles buy Bury instead of Salford?
Wonder why a few years ago the ex Man U players & Peter LIm not buy Bury instead of Salford? Especially sine the Nevilles parents worked at Bury

I assume because they have a bigger potential fan base, they were a lot lot cheaper and it was easier to get some ego boosting promotions quickly.

I was thinking the same and wandering what the financial situation was with Bury when they bought Salford several years ago. Wouldve thought that it would be better than it is now.I think the comment is fair game as the Neville brothers have been pontificating on Burys situation.

Certainly Salford's crowds have gone up tremendously whereas even when Bury were going up last season their crowds were still not great

I don't think proud Oldham lad Paul Scholes would put money into Bury. Salford was obviously a neutral project all of the class of 92 could invest in. Must be galling for Bury fans to see
