Next Three League Games

Ignoring the tinpot leasing.uk.gov.org trophy, I think our next 3 league games will really show us where we stand this season and may make up the owners minds, one way or the other, as to where we go with the manager situation.

Salford - Away - One of the favourites pre-season, obviously a little history with us.
Swindon - Home - Won the last two, fancied this year.
Exeter - Away - Top of the league, i fancied them at the start of the year. Long away game, will be tough.

There's been comments that Cheltenham, Stevenage, Macclesfield and Crawley are weak teams that will be down at the bottom this year so we shall see where we are in a few weeks!

Surely we won't really know where we stand until the season's finished?

If we can sort out our defensive frailties and get Jobi back playing, all will be fine. I see us playing 3-5-2 at Salford at least at the start.

As things stand, this run of fairly tricky three games (two away, one home) won't decide anything one way or the other. Win all 3 or lose all 3, I don't expect any change. Maybe over next 6 games, but not just these three.

I meant, to see what the team and management are made of. Of course these games wont define our season but they seem like very good tests and tough games. We could lose each one 4-0, or we could smash them 3-2 (from 2-0 down) each week! :D

I fear for us at the moment because our defending is so bad. Ive looked at Crawley's last 2 goals lots of times, and I just cant believe the terrible defending.....its worse than schoolboys!!!

Well, you worry all the time. I wouldn't put so much energy into worrying and fearing, as it'll make no difference.

When Palmer came on nobody seemed to know who should pick him up, so nobody did. And he scored twice as a result. The good news is that's easily fixable with better organisation and situational work in training. If he scored because the players lacked core skills then that would be an issue. So should be something we can iron out pretty quickly

That’s the problem Smendrick F I think they DO lack core skills! Defending last Saturday was shambolic and doesn’t look like it’s going to be fixed anytime soon.I fear a really big thrashing soon and I’m not talking 3-0

What history? Orient have played them twice in the whole history of the club?

Over the season, we will have ups and downs. We will be OK. If you keep talking down the team and players, eventually you will get some results or dip in form, that some on here can all tell us "I told you so". We had that all last season and they are at it again even before the season started. There will be times, I will probably also go over the top and be down on some players and management.

ATM, I would be more concerned about the state of the world, lack of leadership and headwinds we all face over the next few years in general.

Salford - obviously no history and were thumped early on by Crawley
Swindon - won first two, two draws and a defeat since

Booked the Salford gig weeks back. Now I’m hoping we play 11 in goal just to keep the score down.

Expecting a torrid 90 with the singing of the opposition gloating fans ringing in my ears. Still, I’m sure the rest of my two night stay will be better.

If I had booked that trip, I would be hoping Orient turn up and play rather than parking the bus. Just over 12 months ago Orient drew there with a very decent performance in the second half after going behind. In fact, so good I was encouraged to think Orient would be in the end of season shake up with Salford.

Salford have only one win so far.

So just cos the bookies say this teams good this teams bad we should listen to them blah blah blah
You play wants in front of you everyone can beat everyone on the day no matter what league it is
All this chuffing on about the next 3 games it’s like some of you want the club to fail just so you can justify your boring virtual existence on a message board
What a bunch of bed wetters led by Bumble

Had Orient being going into the next three games having lost to Mansfield last week, perhaps the doom and gloom might be merited, but that game showed Orient can go to tricky places and get results. I expect Orient to pick up 3 or 4 points in the next three games though it would be nice to do a bit better than that.

Wheres the doom and gloom comment come from? Simply saying they might be tough games but good for us to see where to team is as they will be a challenge.

Not about you, but playing 11 in goal to avoid a hiding is as doom and gloom as it gets!

Yes, but some games are harder than others with some being the hardest of the lot.
