Higher league and the usual bedwetters are singing the doom chorus already
I don’t think it’s that bad

We'll see how it looks after playing Salford, that'll be an interesting marker of how both promoted sides do against each other.

Not for much longer.
They mean business and will be promoted this season.
That’s ambition.

We’ve also played some of the weakest teams in the league.

That is indeed a salient point, but we certainly have the capacity to improve.

The next 3 games might tell us a lot. 3 hard games.
Dont really understand comparing seasons. Different squad, different opponents, different manager, different season objectives.
If you were to average out our points it would give us 64, which is comfortably mid-table - which i'll settle for. But too early to tell.

W2 D1 L2 pts 7... also the record we had after 5 games (at this level) in 2016/17. Anyone remember how that finished?
(not that I think we'll repeat that outcome, but it goes to show how little you can infer from the 5 opening games)

The capacity is there but is this coaching set up the group to get the squad playing to their highest level? Doubtful.
