Following on from the sad loss of Mr Knight
Id like to personally thank him for many a chuckle during my time reading the good old 'ear , which he played such an important role in producing.
I have to say i have occasionally bought 1 or 2 of the other inferior publications of fanzineO style over
the years , but against the Ear
They were always pale imitations & really should be banished room 101 style.
Cheers again Dave

I agree the 'ear' is a good read but no need to put me out of helping Mr R***r selling the Panda

Ill put in a word for you at the supporters club if you need to volunteer an extra hour of time before the games.
Nothing personal about the other mags but they are like part 2 of successful movies.

Over what time was Dave the editor?
Think it was first out late 1986 maybe September time
I think Dave was chief editor for 6-7 years but I could be wrong on that but he always had a hand in the publication I think we are now onto no 11 editor now

The Stripester was editor when I first read. No suprise that he is one of the better guests on the Orient hour. And a damn fine goalie too.
The Orientear is a football institution and it’s longevity a testimony to Dave Knight’s hard work and excellent understanding of how to criticise the club without ever crossing the line into abuse. It’s humour was always well intentioned and the fanzine is an asset to Leyton Orient Football Club
