Josh Wright
What a frustrating player Wright is.
He can pick a pass and scored a great goal yesterday.
But after Wilkinson was pushed over in front of the 4th official, giving us a free kick on half way line Wright went out of his way to pass the ball back, and did the same when in a promising position on the left side deep into the game. Poncy passes and negative play doth not win games
Finally, his utterly pathetic play acting deep in injury time when absolutely not fouled or even touched by the Crawley player was totally cringe-worthy. It was like an episode of TOWIE. What a bell-end, I thought - and still do. There is no need for the crap he has ‘added’ to his game because for me he’s like a luxury we can’t afford. He will never be enough in midfield because of these flaws.

Re: Josh Wright
Thought he was ok yesterday but clay was much the better of the two. And looked all over the place when Gorman come on alongside him.
Cracking strike for the goal, mind you. Could see it was in as soon as it left his boot.

Re: Josh Wright
This post says it all. You praise his passing and the great goal he scored yesterday, and then you seemingly just cannot wait to pick out as many flaws with his game as possible..ContrifibulatoryFred wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 7:05 am What a frustrating player Wright is.

The message is quite clear - you just don't like Josh Wright no matter what he does. And it's probably on a personal level as well.

Re: Josh Wright
Not true. I have no dislike for Wright. I met him at Roding Hospital last year (when he was not at the club) and I think he’s a nice person.
However I am frustrated by the correctable flaws in his game - such as cutting out the play acting and reining in the over use of back passes when we are in attacking positions.
In our current midfield lineup I think his style of play is a luxury.

I disagree . I think Josh was genuinely hurt as was Glenn Morris thanks to Gorman sticking the boot in. I know it was frustrating for us because we was chasing the game but I've watched Glenn play for us for a few seasons and he's definitely not a cheat .

Here we go again - the same plonkers who ripped into him last time are ready to be bell-ends already.

Of course Morris was hurt, Gorman done him. Absolute bellend, no need for it whatsoever.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 12:20 pmContrifibulatoryFred wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 7:05 am What a frustrating player Wright is.

I didn’t see Josh go down, must have been in the pisser. He did take one late on on the halfway and reacted badly, lucky not to get red carded.

Re: Josh Wright
I never said anything about Morris - I didn’t see what occurred but if Gorman left his foot in then that was out of order.
I’ve had my rant about Wright but I won’t turn this into any kind of vendetta. I hope he does show what he is capable of this season

Re: Josh Wright
Can’t have him, Dennis and Maguire-Drew in the same midfield. Far too lightweight and none of them capable of winning a tackle.
