Gorman-Ghastly
I have kept hoping against hope that Gorman would come good. But it ain’t going to happen.
He needs to be binned alongside Alabi so we can at least have a chance of playing some actual professional footballers.

Boco Island is calling. Time for the club to acknowledge what learned boarders have been saying for 12 months that signing these two was a mistake.ContrifibulatoryFred wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 6:58 am I have kept hoping against hope that Gorman would come good. But it ain’t going to happen.

Re: Gorman-Ghastly
Constant barracking of Alabi and Gorman has become a tiresome bandwagon. Alabi had some good touches in his time on the pitch yesterday. Is Judd better than Ling? Player ratings are mostly marginal.

Re: Gorman-Ghastly
Absolute silly sausage for leaving the boot in on Morris yesterday. Then wasting our time refusing to go to the ref
Think he also got booked for a naughty challenge in one of his other brief sub appearances this season.
I’m done with him.

Face facts - they offer nothing. Time to move on to other options and write these two off.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 8:17 am Constant barracking of Alabi and Gorman has become a tiresome bandwagon. Re: Gorman-Ghastly
Gorman had a bit of a free pass last season after coming in injured, the criticism more aimed at those who signed him as our CM solution than the player.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 8:17 am Constant barracking of Alabi and Gorman has become a tiresome bandwagon. No such excuses this year; he's had full pre-season and now needs to show he's better than what we saw last year. Thus far aside from that free-kick in a friendly there's no signs of improvement.
Alabi most want to see him do well but it's just not happening. Willing someone to do better doesn't magically make them gain quality, that's why he ended up as 5th choice striker for us in NL last season.

Re: Gorman-Ghastly
Maybe he needs to start to properly show what he can do. Must be frustrating as a player to only get 20 minutes to get to the pace of a game & then try & change it.gshaw wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 9:39 amGorman had a bit of a free pass last season after coming in injured, the criticism more aimed at those who signed him as our CM solution than the player.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 8:17 am Constant barracking of Alabi and Gorman has become a tiresome bandwagon. He does seem to pick up a lot of bookings considering how little time he spends on the pitch, maybe he's trying too hard. Be interesting to see Marsh given a chance to see what he can do.

Re: Gorman-Ghastly
FellowO explained the tactical reasoning for bringing on Alabi and Gorman which was fair enough. The only problem is their obviously not good enough for League Two to make the difference.ContrifibulatoryFred wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 6:58 am I have kept hoping against hope that Gorman would come good. Re: Gorman-Ghastly
Doesn't deserve a run in the team, failed miserably to perform in the National League last year, who in their right mind would even have him in the squad. He is a proven total waste of space !!

Re: Gorman-Ghastly
He needs to play in a 3 man midfield. He was brought on as a number 10 yesterday, leaving Wright exposed. Absolutely pointless.

Re: Gorman-Ghastly
For Gorman to play realistically he'd need to be taking the place of Wright. That's not going to happen unless Josh picks up an injury / suspension as he's been the better performer of the CMs thus far.

Because he’s not good enough to play in a 2?BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 11:52 am He needs to play in a 3 man midfield. He was brought on as a number 10 yesterday, leaving Wright exposed. Absolutely pointless.
He came infor clay alongside Wright yesterday, didn’t he? Dennis was playing behind th3 front 3?
Although I admit it all went wrong to sh*t the last few minutes formation wise.

Re: Gorman-Ghastly
If he's playing alongside someone that will sit in and cover for him then no. There was no formation in the last 10 mins, the attackers were just all over the place whilst the hoped Alabi would win the ball in the air and bring it down... I admire your patience and I can see signs of a player in there somewhere. But it’s just not enough.
And the moments of idiocy/petulance such as yesterday don’t do him any favours either.

28 games last season, 13 as sub. I’d say he has had a good shot at proving his worth.
