Do we struggle with them more than other clubs?

Fair point, well made.

I think we suffer with injured players more than other clubs due to our recruitment policy. There's been a repeating pattern of signing players with poor injury records on the hope of getting a bargain, though it ends up a false economy much of the time in terms of cost per minutes played and needing to get additional loanees in to cover the inevitable injury breakdown.

Big opportunity to go down a different route in summer.

Our loan players seem more resilient. Younger though.

Wrexham lost Mullins to a collapsed lung he never recovered from by his current form. Elliot Lee & his car crash. Numerous injuries in their squad, covered by a Huge Squad, Charlton had half a squad missing up until christmas. Stockport have had 2 tereible seasons with injuries yet won a League & are comfortably in a play off place . Bolton had players injured & useless under the old manager, Huddersfield have had half a dozen plus out since november, Blackpool only getting starting forwards fit after 2 months out . Exeter have had no fit defendees since god knows when, same at Mansfield who lost half a squad when they were sitting in the play offs.
We are no worse than any club regards injury, promise

Impressive research BandO.

To win a League you need 25 first teamers and four decent youth fillers and two decent keepers..

Totally agree, no more recruiting bargain basement sick notes definitely a false economy that has cost us play off places for two years now.

All well and good saying it’s a false economy but the reality is that we have a budget. You take a risk on better quality players that have had injuries or you sign lower quality players. Sometimes it pays off sometimes it doesn’t. But the second option never pays off

There is no way anyone following Orient knows enough about the injury situations at other clubs to have a definitive answer on this, not that it'll stop anyone.

I don't think we've had particularly bad luck with injuries this season. We haven't had many instances of having players completely out of position, which is normally the tell tale sign that you've got a lot crocked.

I imagine the way Wellens plays is more demanding than a lot of managers so probably increases the chances of picking up muscle injuries.

Nonsense,
All you have to do is listen to the Interviews of Managers before & after games played by the other teams in this league. Either on the clubs official websites or the clubs you tube sites
Nigel clough has bemoaned the injuries, Huddersfields old manager as well. Atkins at Bolton blamed his crap season on injuries, yet remarkably Schumacer turned it around. Steve Bruce has said the same stuff as Wellens about injuries.
It's all out there, it's not like guessing at budgets & having to work back a year.

I don't remember Slade using that method to recruit his 13-14 squad, it's a strategy that came in during the DoF time.

Of the various injury-prone signings I can only think of Smyth who you'd called successful and even then it was half a season of output from 2 years of contract (or "loan" if we use his words)

Ling always liked a talented crock, way back in his time as Manager. Phil Mulryne being the ultimate - great track record, totally finished by the time we brought him in. Slowcrock was another, and Boyd. I could go on, but I've work to do.

Lisbie definitely had a track record of getting injured a lot. Mooney as well.

Of the current squad, is it not only really Ball and Graham (sort of - he'd played a few full seasons without a problem) that came to us with issues? Happe and James have become injury prone, Archibald was incredibly fit until he wasn't. No idea if Simpson had a problem with fitness, we got him because of the verbal injuries he was handing out.

Ball, Graham, DJ, Clare

Simpson as above not sure but seems to always have some sort of niggle preventing a consistent run of games

Has Clare had injury issues before he joined us? Played a lot of games the previous 4-5 seasons.

Dj is an odd one, no idea why Wellens wanted him. He seems chronically unfit and unsuited to playing the system he wants.

Clare has had the hip problems before

And DJ was coming back from a knee injury when he joined

With the budget that teams have like Birmingham have we cannot in any way compete. With their money they buy players at the beginning of the transfer window leaving scraps for the rest. Some of the fees they and others have paid are well over the value of the player. Things might change a little next season with the likely teams coming down and coming up.Hopefully with new investment and Richie staying we could achieve play offs.
