23 years old and light years away from from league 1 standard. I’d get rid in the summer if possible

Should've been offloaded last summer, awful at the start of the season and awful in the 3 games he's had to play with Currie suspended. Might be a trier but miles off L1 level.
Need a quality RB and LB to arrive in summer with a utility backup player. James would do but he can't stay fit so I'd move him on too if we can find someone else, though accept it'd be unlikely given how many signings we'll need to make.

I’ve mentioned previously that imho Currie is so good that it makes Sweeney look worse than he actually is but I can’t disagree that he should be moved on in the close season if it’s possible.

I'd say Currie is a L1 promotion quality LB, that's the standard we need to be aiming at bringing in. Sweeney is more L2 / NL and it's too big a gap when RW needs someone to come in and maintain the same levels.

Change the record. Sweeney played quite well in that first half. The continual scapegoating of Sweeney is pretty flaming tedious.

I have to agree, Sweeney has rarely performed well when he has come into the side. He has been given a chance to impress with the enforced absence of Currie and he certainly hasn’t taken it.
If the opportunity arrives then I would offload him.

I think RW has the same view. I would like to keep him in the squad, but I don`t see him ever being a first choice at left-back.

Probably lowest paid at the club. Backup who’s come in when called upon to play in multiple positions. Truely don’t get the hate

Got to have someone to lash out at, I guess.
He was pretty bad that first half today on the ball, no question. But he did still make himself available and won a fair few challenges. Hes was also perfectly acceptable in the previous 2 games.
He wasn’t the reason we lost.

You’re having a laugh

First half he was absolutely dire

He wasn’t great today but he was by no means the worst in that first half. Don’t think any player can look at that half and think they did well.

I truly don't get how you come to the conclusion that it's 'hate'.

Cos a fringe player gets a thread dedicated to him and is called out on numerous occasions despite usually not being the worst player on the pitch.
Wonder why

At his age, he now need to be playing games regularly. I’d imagine plenty of L2 clubs will be in for him.
I’ve watched a fair bit of NL this season, he’s too good for that.

I think Jayden is a decent enough player but he won't ever be the first choice LB at Orient . If he want's that I think he'll need to move on and go down a level to League 2. I agree he wasn't the reason we lost today . The whole team looked knackered in that first half and nobody played well .

Bromley were ‘looking at ‘ Jayden a few weeks ago……..I wouldn’t mind betting that he ends up there in the Summer.
I don’t get the dislike for him on here either, ok so Curry is a better player but Jayden always gives 100% and wasn’t the reason we lost today.

Easy target.
Given our limited budget, if we were to ditch Jayden and spend more on a better reserve LB, to sit in the dugout at best most weeks, we’d have to downgrade elsewhere. I wouldn’t want to do that.

And the same people would moan that we are wasting budget on an experienced player who is sitting on the bench or in the stands

Think the way we were set up to play in the first half did Sweeney absolutely no favours at all yesterday. He saw so much of the ball because we played everything down the left, but we were so narrow there was absolutely no width, and none of the centre mids were ever giving him any options, meaning his only choice was to either travel with the ball or pass hopefully. Ended up giving away possession an awful lot but I’m not sure how much of that was his fault
