If other results go the wrong way we could be 6 points off the playoffs and played a game more

Having looked at the data from the last ten seasons (excluding the Covid season 2019-20):
On average a club needs 74 points to make the play-offs. The range is a low of 69 points and a high of 83
If we lose tonight we’ll be on 53 points with 11 games to play.
Best case scenario is we’ll need 16 points from those remaining games.
Worst case scenario is we’ll need 30.
Most likely scenario is that we’ll need 21.
So I don’t think play offs are out of the question if we do lose but we’ll need to win 5 to 8 of the remaining games to realistically have a chance.

Heh at Mindsweep. But, while getting a playoff spot isn't impossible should we lose tonight, it will be further knock the team's confidence and make it very unlikely.

Based purely on the recent form of the teams around us, I say yes. Need those points on the board.

For a change in momentum and to keep in touch, it’s a must win, 24 points probably needed for playoffs, so quicker we pick those up the better for everyone.

Yes and that might be tonight. The last couple pf months have shown how quickly this league can change.
Orient fans should be used to a bit of end of season perspective at this point.

Yes - I reckon 78 points will be required this season.

I'd say its not must win but its must not lose. Mainly for confidence reasons. An away game on a tuesday night up north is never easy. We need to stop the losing streak and crack on. A lot of the top 7 are playing each other so will drop points.

It’s a must-win in the sense that we need to stop this run of three straight defeats. Confidence will have taken a bashing and so we really need to pull out a win tonight.

But we have a depleted defence and tired. If we want a play off spot we can’t afford a six point cap to opening up

Except they will . They have to play each other.

I agree. A case of “ must not lose” imho - four defeats on the spin could be a psychological hammer blow.

Yes because RW said that in the last group,of games the target was three points from Bolton and Charlton and we came out with zero. We are now chasing the pack and that is never easy . We really must get back on track.

Yep yep yep - wasn’t impressed with that. Yes we need 78 points but as soon as fuxxxxxxin possible. 3 points tonight is an absolute must. And forget any celebration because 3 points on Saturday is also a must.
