We.have enough cover for wide positions we need a forward there are sh*t loads on a free ling and the board are pickie

Start of January the club states “we will only sign players that improve the squad".
Come end of January we sign Sonny Perkins that apart from some fleeting moments, hasn't exactly shown enough that he improves the squad.
Considering this and the fact we need bodies upfront, to an extent someone on par with what we have is better than no one surely.

A forward needs to be sacrificed for a CB right now. Perkins can play up top and as can Agyei who is nearly back. We can't afford to go through the rest of the season with only three natural CB's.

I agree and that’s why I doubt we will be signing a striker today. We can't loan anyone for that position so we'd have to commit to offering a decent length contract to whoever we wanted to sign. And therefore needed to be someone we really thought would fit the squad longer term. We've seen before that signing a body for that position who doesn't suit a Wellens system is basically pointless. Unlike the wing or central midfield positions, there aren't that many players who fit what Wellens wants, what we can afford and who is available.

On one hand yes the striker hasn't been filled as it stands which would count as a failing if there's no movement before 11pm. On the other hand Abdulai looks a steal of a signing and Markanday is a solid loan who adds to attacking options.
The unexpected CM and CB requirements make it a bit more difficult to juggle too.

The talk was he'd be back for this Saturday, but that has gone quiet - not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
It's imperative that he's eased back in gently this time. And played up top, not out wide.

Be great to see Dan Agyei back playing in No.9 position, with the wide attacking players we now have.
Will give Kelman some help.
I hope we dont see him on Sat, what benefit would that be, coming on as sub when the game is probably lost for 10-15mins, chasing/closing down City defenders, testing the hammy!
I hope he is on the bench and gets a run out at end of game v Mansfield.
Slowly slowly over next 2-3 L1 games bring Dan back.

Strange he hasn’t picked up another club yet after recently playing at Rangers . He could be worth a roll of the dice . If we can afford it offer him a contract until the end of the season and see what he can do

Seriously, don't see how he could get up to speed in a reasonable period if he hasn't played since last season
