Don’t be so silly.

It’s a blow for sure but we have 3 decent cbs and others who can sub in there. Cm options too.

Happe not fully match fit and simpson not recovered from injury , so in effect we have one fit CB !

Not ideal of course but the club CAN loan a centre back to cover if we choose to. It would simply mean that one of the other loanees would have to be left out of the match day squad to accommodate it.

It’s not great news, but Clare 3-4 weeks isn’t that bad, esp if Dom Ball is back soon. We managed well enough when Clare was out.
Becks will be a big miss, but with Happe & Simpson close then it shouldn’t be the end of the world.
Dan A back soon, OON another month, will seem like new signings!
Could do without any more injuries

Got until 11pm Monday Sid, so there is a bit of time. Free Agent(s) can be signed after that date if needs be.

I think we will def try to bring in a CB before Mon deadline.
To only have 3 CBs is too risky.
Hope we can get a No.9 as well.
Might have to call back Warrington from Salford?

Or swap and change play 3 at the back at least we have a spear defender

I’m sure we all recognise the situation is not ideal but it’s the situation we’re in. The options available to Ling & Wellens are restricted for sure BUT there are options out there.

I remember his Assist for our winning goal vs Eastleigh.

A loanee CB would be OK, unless it's exceptional circumstances shouldn't need to name them in the matchday squad, perhaps some kind of higher level young player that would benefit from being around a men's squad even if they don't get loads of playing time?

Really unfortunate for Clare, that injury seems to be a recurring one and I think he suffered from it before joining us too. If we've loaned Warrington out he's not the answer right now so need someone else with that physical presence.

I think Ed Turns is available..

Could we agree a deal with Brighton to release Turns from his contract, for an undisclosed fee??

Feel for these guys, undoubtedly would have been looking forward to a 'can tell the grandkids' match against City. Beckles has been outstanding this season especially since he's cut back on the overplaying.

I would have Turns back.

Beckles a much bigger loss than Clare who has already spent a decent chunk of this season injured.

Ed Turns is a decent shout.

The CB wouldn’t feature in the squad unless absolutely necessary.
