With this stat from last night in mind, is crossing a good tactic?

That's because we have two-full backs who can't cross. If we played pacy wingers who could attack the box and put in low crosses I think we'd be a lot more successful.

I thought our full backs played a big part in the build up to our first two goals last night.

From memory, Ling got in one half decent cross. Widdowson, none. Marv had the best cross of the game that Coulson should have done better with.

I still think they played a big part in the build up to our first two goals last night. Widdowson's was a nicely weighted through ball
rather than a cross but still worthy of mention.

Most crosses are unsuccessful- that's not an unusual statistic. Ling put in a good cross with his left foot for the first goal, as it happens.

The best I've seen Orient play was on the deck second half yesterday, quick, pass and move football and the second half vs Ebbsfleet was pretty much total football, not sure Angol while not short is going to score tons of headers and Wilkinson doesn't actually win that many convincingly, obviously this could be down to the actual crossing it's self.

When did we play Ebbsfleet? And aren't they still in the national league?

Don’t think that stat will surprise anyone. Nearly all of the crosses will have been from our 2 full backs, none of whom can cross. And Brophy’s final ball ain’t much better.

If we only connect with 1 in 8 crosses then we should adjust our gameplan. The crosses should be lower, don't recall seeing many head height crosses in the PL, except for corners.

They’re going to have to be low to hit George Marsh.

13% isn't abnormal. I think Mansfield's was about 20%.

He really didn’t.
The two most productive were the one for the first goal that 1) he almost ballsed up a 2 on 1 situation and then 2) over hit to the far post and another that was again overhit to the keeper but he missed it. Most failed to clear the first man.

Some good crosses second half.
