Worst Orient Memories - Top 5

Seeing as we're doing positive, it's only fair and in the interests of balance that your 5 worst memories at Orient are covered as well. This can include personal embarrassments such as pissing yourself or getting duffed up somewhere.
1. Colchester (H) 2017. Pitch invasion, losing, conference bound and the game supposedly abandoned. Honestly thought we'd never be back.
2. MK Dons (A) 2015. 4-0 down and looking doomed. I left at H/T. Never done that before or since.
3. Plymouth (A) 1999. Horrendous drive there, 3-0 down in no time and it pissed it down. Ended up 0-5. We were lucky to get 0.
4. Hendon (H) 1998. Lucky to scrape through the first tie at 2-2, what could possibly go wrong at home? Well everything really in a 0-1 defeat and then just to cap it all, Orient go and sign their centre forward who not only looked like Mr Bean, he turned into the footballing equivalent as soon as he put an Orient shirt on. Weirdly, I still can't remember his name.......
5. Bromley (A) 2017. 1-6. George Porter inevitably scored for Bromley. From memory it pissed down as well.

Losing at home 4-1 to (I think it was) Swindon in the Liverani era (season 14/15). I was so annoyed at how badly the team was playing and that Liverani could do nothing about it.

The battle of Brisbane Road when supporters of Birmingham Ciyy and Millwall went to war on tne old north terrace.
Chelsea whacking us 6-3 at Brissie.
The Aston Villa equaliser in 1973 that put Carlisle in the old 1st division instead of us.
When Justin Edinburgh suddenly passed away.
The dreadful period of the mad Italian's ownership.

I think it was actually 3-7, last game of the season and was played in the spirit of a testimonial

There are many but I'll stick to games when I attended.
That Aston Villa game in 1973 when we couldn't get the win. Insult added to injury when the Police confiscated my Super Orient banner, had spent some time making it.
Losing to the Arse in 6th round of the cup in 70's
Getting tonked 4 - 1 at Shrewsbury when the alleged footballer, Duane Derby scored a couple.
Drawing 2-2 at home against Derby in 85 I think which sealed our relegation.
The worst of all, that terrible performance at Torquay just before Justin came in. Things looked really bleak that day.

It was 3-7, but it was in November 1979

Yes mate!
Got to the ground late because of the traffic, stepped in a massive puddle up to my knees in their carpark, got in the ground to see TT had gone with some bizarre 4-2-2-2 formation with an extra bank of centre halves in front of the defence and the 2 midfielders, got walloped 5-0 if I've not mistaken.
(As it turns out, this was the creation of the 'box midfield' now used at the top levels of the game 25 years later - Taylor was just ahead of his time).

Colin Simpson was the Hendon striker.
They had another decent forward, should have signed him.

Travelling for nearly 6 hours to watch Orient lose at Carlisle 6-1 5-0 down at half time. I wanted to drive home after 30 minutes but was forced to stay and watch.
Losing to Scun*horpe at the old Wembley 1-0 in League 2 play off final
Travelling to Bournemouth to lose 5-0 (Darren Anderton hattrick). Mates car broke down on the way home.
Nearly all the games where Paul Brush managed us (does that count?)

Bromley 1-6
Scunthorpe 2-3 at the Old Show Ground
Malden and Tiptree
3 x 1-5 home defeats within a couple of months in 1982
losing Semi Final in 78..... and many more absolute dire home performances...

My ex-missus was pregnant at the time of that Bournemouth game. I told her I’d take her to the seaside for the weekend, then when we got there sneakily announced Orient were playing. She sat there with a face like thunder as we got hammered and the weekend didn’t get any better!
I’d forgotten about that. Would definitely make my Top 5

Yeah - and it was Valentine's weekend too. I took my Mrs there for a weekend thinking I'd booked a hotel, and we rocked up there after the match only to find it was closed for renovations. I've had happier drives back to London.

Obviously Villa 1974 was by far the worst.
Relegation to the Conference.
Play off final defeat in 2014.
Pass the bucket meeting in 1966.
The three 1-5 home defeats in 1982/83.
