Even if they are injured?DelightInE10 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 6:12 pm does that mean richie plays our strongest side on Tuesday?
TV Only would be worth a small fortune to us as would be on main channels in UK , if tie was away probably would not be , that alone makes this a must win game TuesdayThe Reverend wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 6:25 pm Would City at home provide any additional income compared to any other club at home? If it were an away draw then yeah, but at home it makes no difference right? In the long term a play-off push is more sensible.
Blowing a load of players hamstrings to get through to a home tie we will lose seems a bit silly to me. We already know there’s no money to spend in the transfer window this Jan so any injuries are going to seriously damage a play off push.
The club can increase the prices for this game I assume. The Reverend wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 6:25 pm Would City at home provide any additional income compared to any other club at home? Tickets will not be £10 as Derby Game. Probably starting at £25. Game will be Televised possibly another £100k. Prize money £120k If we beat Derby prize winnings £115 k. With what we already have achieved will buy us 3 good playersThe Reverend wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 6:25 pm Would City at home provide any additional income compared to any other club at home? Not everything is about money (or at least it shouldn’t be). The chance to play against one of the best prem sides ever is such a rarity that we should throw everything at it. The fans deserve it as do the players. Obviously you can’t play semi-fit players but we should defo put out the strongest team we have at our disposal in order to give us the best chance of getting through IMO.The Reverend wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 6:25 pm Would City at home provide any additional income compared to any other club at home? I’m not disagreeing with your point but a genuine question for you (and anybody else who wishes to answer):Ron Waffle wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 6:49 pmNot everything is about money (or at least it shouldn’t be). Sorry I didn’t realise you had been appointed the conversation monitor for this board. Should all posts be run by you for approval first?CEB2ElectricBoogaloo wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 6:55 pm That question doesn’t bear any relation to the point you’re replying to

If you could only pick one which would you prefer:
1. Play Man City at home in the cup but don’t make play offs this season
2. Lose to Derby but make play offs this season
3. Beat Man City and get promotion through the play offs
Er I choose 3 anyone else
£75k home side for live game with £54k if you win the gamemoonwalk19 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 6:37 pmTickets will not be £10 as Derby Game. Probably starting at £25. It will be more income for the reasons others have already stated. But it’s not like an away game share of a 50,000 attendance. The Reverend wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 6:25 pm Would City at home provide any additional income compared to any other club at home? Will the TV rights really be that high anyway? It’s the only thing that would be different compared to being drawn at home against any other club.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 7:07 pmIt will be more income for the reasons others have already stated. I agree, it shouldn’t change anything, the play offs are still the priority.
And the only thing they care more about than a PR disaster is revenue. The Reverend wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 7:18 pmWill the TV rights really be that high anyway? Also, if the club raise ticket prices by a significant amount that would be a PR disaster.
