No...this is great...after going two down I thought we were finished.

We were top when we were forced into the 5-3-2 because of the lack of CM cover (injuries to Clay, Lee and McAnuff at the time). It was never the formation to start a new season with and hopefully tonight throws the shackles off our attacking players. They had to throw caution to the wind and go for it tonight, now let's see that on Saturday. Be bold and go out with intention to win the game with the same high intensity that got 3 goals in 45 minutes tonight.

What frustrated me last season was exactly that. When they sat back, it encouraged other teams and made it hard. When Orient kept the ball down and played attacking football, they could destroy anybody (within reason). There was a mindset and possibly still is that 'playing attacking football doesn't get you promoted'. If Orient carried on with their good football instead of reverting back to the defensive stuff, they'd have sewn the league up by the end of February.
I said it at the same time last season, with these players, 433 is the formation to play. Hopefully Ross carries it on now.

What's so hard to get your head around? Orient dropped points because they were playing poo poo. Other teams fighting at the top dropped points at the same time, letting Orient off the hook. It hasn't been working since January, well done Ross. Saw it wasnt working 3.5 games in & made a change to 433.
