Derby cup game

With no league match for 2 weeks RW should put out a weaken side against Derby and give reserve players a game. Currie is cup tied by Oxford so Sweeney will replace him. Cooper and Simpson should play. Obiero in midfield with Warrington. Give Clare and DJ 90 minutes. with injuries to Oniel Dan and Ball there is a problem with our attacking possibilities.. perhaps bring out Teddie Lamb up front if he has not signed for Man City next week. Any other ideas?

Personally, I would play the strongest side available and try and keep the winning run going.
(maybe take players off early if we are smashing them Or losing heavily)
I'd like us to get through, and it's good to respect the competition too rather than seeing it as 'less than'

We`ll make 5 or 6 changes according to Richie

Derby are gash away from home but in the scheme of things I wouldn’t mind a fair amount of changes to rest up players.

Nige wants a Cup run for the money. Richie wants a promotion, which would prove very expensive.

Expect we’ll still have the stalwarts who’s stats must be amazing and just don’t need resting - Galbraith, Beckles, Kelman(ish) - but yeah, need to give the likes of DJ, Perkins, Cooper, Obeiro and obvs Sweeeny a start.

£115k prize money for winning in the third round of the cup. Derby now a very winnable fixture. Would be madness to throw this fixture by playing kids.

The gulf in class between us and Derby last season at their place was immense. It was like one of the L1 openers, we looked out of our depth.
I’m sure they’re not L1 level gash already.

It is the FA Cup, not the EFL Trophy..

This group have had so much time off this season, there’s no reason any of them need a rest

Got to go for it, very good chance if we win a massive tie the next round as well

It is just the FA Cup, not the far more important play off push.

Keeley
Galbraith cooper Simpson Sweeney
Clare Brown
Perkins Obeiro DJ
Kelman
Assuming TJ and Ball will still be out as well. Plenty strong enough. Beckles/Donley/Pratley on the bench in case needed. There isn’t much more wiggle room than that anyway

Of course . But that still doesn’t outrank the play offs and a hit at the Championship. I know which Richie thinks is more important and I agree with him.

Why can’t we have both? Derby are hardly Liverpool or Arsenal. In our current form they are totally beatable. They absolutely mullered us at their place last season but next week should be different.

Because ONeill today. Agyei last game. Ball the one before that. TJ a few weeks back. Injuries are an inevitability of no rest.

Plenty of seats available in the North and East stands for this FA cup game. 6pm kick off doesn't help.
Hopefully we can shift a few more and should do on our current form and with tickets at £10 a pop

The way Donley is playing he should be starting in stead of DJ. Agree elsewhers

I only bought my ticket for the Derby game this afternoon . The 6pm KO on a Saturday was really putting me off . However Orient is the club I support so I'll be there . I just hope it isn't raining or snowing .
