Wellens has clearly had orders from the top to set low expectations about January. We desperately need some investors who are actually willing to spend. Grateful for everything the current owners have done but clearly they have run out of interest and/or cash. Going to be very hard justifying season ticket price increases again if they consistent bring in freebies and loanees kids every transfer window.
On today's showing I completely agree .He was anonymous today and was rightly hooked in the second half .
Interesting you change your views like the weather! The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 4:27 pmWellens has clearly had orders from the top to set low expectations about January. Think you can have as many as you want. There is just a limit on the match day squad
Yeah that's what came up earlier when I looked it upStory of O wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 6:01 pmThink you can have as many as you want. There is just a limit on the match day squad
I totally agree . I'd rather Galbraith and Agyei walked away for nothing in the Summer rather than run the risk of getting relegated. If we still end up getting relegated then at least we did all we could to avoid it .Stan1972 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 4:36 pm Def 2 wingers coming in and 100% needed and a Striker!
O’Neil & Perkins need competition.
O’Neil as we know is good enough, but needs competition on left.
On right we need a winger who will be a first 11 starter, and then have Perkins as sub.
We need Dan Agyei down the middle and Kelman + Loan as competition.
Hopefully Currie & Keeleystay for season
Gailbraith & Agyei are not sold
We have an option on Galbraith for 25/26, so he can’t walk for nothing in the summerRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 6:21 pmI totally agree . Their left back was bit of a beast, even Agyei struggled to get past him.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 4:51 pmOn today's showing I completely agree .He was anonymous today and was rightly hooked in the second half .
They are going nowhere. Galbraith has 18 ,months left (we will resign 12 months option), Dan A unless 500k fee will see him kept
Can you point me in the direction of a single comment where I’ve said that I think we will be impressed with the January transfer activity….cockhat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 5:17 pmInteresting you change your views like the weather! The Reverend wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 4:27 pmWellens has clearly had orders from the top to set low expectations about January. On yesterday’s showing I agree
Indeed . We waited until the last minute last January then brought in two kids on loan . This time we must move much faster to get the players we want . Waiting until the end of the transfer window to save on wages isn’t workingQin wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 9:02 pm It's difficult to bring in really decent players in January, because no team is going to let their best players go, unless they are offered silly money for them.
A few loans till the end of the season will suffice, provided they are good.
Maybe a championship striker in his early 30s, who's not getting regular football, who could score 8 or 9 goals till the end of the season.
We need a winger, a striker, and a number 10, minimum.
I would send Perkins, Donley & Hemming back to their respective clubs.
I hope we have targets in mind now, and we sort it early in the window, but knowing the way Orient work, we won't bring anyone in until around the 26th January

Re number of loans, we are trying to sign Keeley, odds on Hemming returns to ‘Boro, that will mean we have 4 loans, space for one or two more, although obviously can only have 5 in the match day squad.
Only on here I think or X don’t think there is anything from the clubBandy Legs wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 8:39 amWhere have you read we are trying to sign Keeley?PKM wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 6:39 pmWe have an option on Galbraith for 25/26, so he can’t walk for nothing in the summerRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 6:21 pm
