Wellens at fault for losing tues night

What was Richie doing making 5 subs on 60th min, what a donut.
I said straight away keep 1 sub back until 80th -85th min.
He done this a couple of months back and it cost us a result then thought he would have learnt his lesson then.
Richie cost us a draw we was on top pushing for a goal, creating chances and pushing them deeper and deeper, and then he done them 2 subs that was not even needed at the time.
Totally changed the game they then had the extra man to just keep the ball and kill time.
Dave victor was really kind to Richie in his interview after I think he was scared of Richie, just saying it’s a gamble using all 5 subs with still 25 mins to go.
Would have loved it if Dave said what all 5k orient fans was thinking and that you cost us tonight with your decisions to use all the subs so early.

So we were losing and then, after the subs, we still lost so it's all his fault? Not sure that's how cause and effect works tbf.

Just checked and subs were made on 68 minutes.
I have to agree, it’s a bit daft using up all your subs with a quarter of the game to go. It makes sense to leave one back just in case of injury or a keeper getting sent off.
I can’t see us/him making the same mistake again.
Regardless, we weren’t getting anything from the game. How many saves did their keeper make? I can’t recall one.

He made the same mistake against Exeter and we blew a 2-0 lead in the last 5 minutes after playing with 10 men for the last 20 minutes.

Wrong team, just not enough strength.
If RW is to take the credit when we win then he has to take the blame when we lose.

Subbing half the outfield team was an act of desperation and reflects badly on the starting team selection and tactics.

Exactly. Can't see us making the same mistake a 3rd time....

Of course.
But his hands are massively tied by the quality of the squad...

Ah back to that misinformation about recruitment. Can you prove that?

Didn't he do the same against Boringwood? Ball had to feign a concussion when he came off to allow us a sub.

In the 1,047th minute. Not quite the same but yes, you're right.

Most teams in the league would've had a better bench than we did Tuesday, Hemming, Graham Prats, Jay, Simpson, Cooper, Ball, endless experience and football league appearances there, the thing Richie always bleats about "experience"

Have to agree - Dave Victor seems absolutely petrified now of saying anything critical of Wellens for fear of his response. Wellens never owns up to mistakes - including using his whole bench so quickly...humble he ain't!

Easy to be critical of RW after the event. If Jordan Graham comes on and scores an equaliser then it would a somewhat different reaction. Having said that he maybe should have held one sub back, but who knows if it would led to a different result.

You seem to have forgotten the 3 he made at halftime as well….

Only save I can remember was in the 1st half, a left footed shot from Galbraith, which he did well to push away, and I think Perkins shot the rebound well wide.

Eh?
It's only the timing of the final sub that's significant.

Not really. If Wellens hadn’t lost his head and hooked 3 at half we wouldn’t have had to end the match with 10 men after papier mache knees lasted 2 mins.

That’s a real supporter.
You criticise so much but are always prepared to put in your two penneth when others post comments you disagree with.
Stand back and take a look at yourself.

You seem to be quite emotional this evening. Why don’t you lay off the ale and have a little lay down.

No I get fed up with all the griping you do, you seem to think you’re so high and mighty.
Also for your information I’m not emotional and I don’t drink alcohol!
As you’ve said to many boarders if you don’t like my posts just put me on your foe list.

You’re the one digging through old threads looking for something to reply to. Then you start ranting and raving about me putting you on foe. People do strange things when they emotional.
By the way, Travis is hardly a distant owner. He regularly attends fans forums. Why won’t you demand an apology from him directly next time? Bet you don’t have the bottle, which is ironic because clearly you’ve been hitting the bottle a bit too hard tonight.
