Sky TV EFL fixture changes
When are we going to get notice of the next set EFL TV changes. The EFL website states:
"By November 1, selections shall be made in respect of all matches to be played between the end of the third round proper of the FA Cup and the first weekend of March, with the announcement of these picks to be made later in the month."
What's the point of selecting matches 1st November, and 10 days later its still not announced, meanwhile advance train tickets go up in price.
Gets even worse at the end of the season when we only get four weeks notice, and that assumes the changes get announced straight away, so it could be worse.
"Selections for matches scheduled after the first weekend in March will be made on a four-week rolling basis starting from February 1 (e.g. a selection for the first weekend in April will be selected in the first weekend in March)."

Re: Sky TV EFL fixture changes
With all the rearranged Tuesday matches we are up to a total of 19 games that will or have been on Sky. Add in the final round of fixtures, which will no doubt be moved from a 15:00 Sat ko; we have the minimum 20!!! No need for any other movement in fixtures for us and SKY can now fuc right off for the rest of the season

Another fairly close away game I wont do because of the 12.30 KO time. F*****g joke.

I’m guessing that we’ve made representations to the EFL/Sky not to screw up another home 15:00 Sat kickoff.

Re: Sky TV EFL fixture changes
What I don't understand about the moving of kick off times to accommodate sky is that it makes a mockery of the idea of a 3pm blackout being in place to preserve lower league attendances. If you were being a bit conspiratorial, you could see this as sky beginning to make the argument that they should be able to show all 3pm kick offs as a big proportion of lower league games already clash with EPL fixtures.

Assuming Birmingham away, is moved to a Tuesday, we are now up to 21 Sky games for the season. Assuming Mansfield away is moved that’s 22.

Why would Birmingham away be moved to a Tuesday?Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 9:24 pm Assuming Birmingham away, is moved to a Tuesday, we are now up to 21 Sky games for the season. Assuming Mansfield away is moved that’s 22.

FA Cup third round Saturday. Both clubs could be in the 3rd round. As long as one of us is then it will be moved.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 9:49 pmWhy would Birmingham away be moved to a Tuesday?Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 9:24 pm Assuming Birmingham away, is moved to a Tuesday, we are now up to 21 Sky games for the season. Re: Sky TV EFL fixture changes
For me Football has already ‘sold its soul ‘ to Sky allowing so much football on TV. I think a lot of fans will save their ticket money to watch from their armchair rather than in person at the stadium which only harms the atmosphere.Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 9:17 pm What I don't understand about the moving of kick off times to accommodate sky is that it makes a mockery of the idea of a 3pm blackout being in place to preserve lower league attendances. Our match at Stevenage is local for me but I can’t be bothered with all the hassle at that s@@@hole of a ground and then wait for ages to get out of that horrible car park opposite the ground. I can watch it on TV at home and save myself £30 plus.

Re: Sky TV EFL fixture changes
Home games are not an issue. I should have said 'away game' rather than 'a fairly close away game'; I would have gone to Stevenage, Wigan and Peterborough but now can't because of the early KO.moonwalk19 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 9:04 pmStevenage awayLoyal_Supporter wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 4:59 pmAnother fairly close away game I wont do because of the 12.30 KO time. Glad the EFL reads the message board and got on with it.Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 3:13 pm When are we going to get notice of the next set EFL TV changes. The EFL website states:

If we did ever get into the Championship, Saturday 3am games would be moved quite a bit
