What’s the answer

This is my view on things and yes I know some will not agree. There were some that laughed at me pushing Beckles forward, was I so wrong?apparently not after yesterday. My take is this,we all know we haven’t got a real goal threat in the side especially up front so why play three attackers? Our strength as a team is in midfield and to a certain extent at the back. As I see it we should play either a 541 or a 451 system. Leave Dan A as the solitary striker and put more emphasis on attacking from midfield. Put Kelman on the right where he can run at players and he will be facing the goal, have the ball in front of him instead of behind him and not backing into the opposing CB. Play Donely or currie either left wing back or attacking midfielder and behind one another. Happe(if fit?) Beckles and cooper as a back 3 or 2? That leaves Ball,Claire or Brown to partner Gailbraith in the middle. This is only temporary until and if we can sign a decent striker or two in the next window???? Playing this system will hopefully grind out results however probably not a lot of goals unfortunately but at this point it’s about not loosing touch with other teams and getting points on the board.

Looking at it we're short on true wide players (well fit ones anyway) and upfront isn't great so playing a bunch of attacker midfields and hoping one of them can provide a threat doesn't sound so crazy
As an aside I see some people mention Donley can play upfront, hasn't been tried yet so also perhaps worth a go?

Some good ideas there but be ever better playing Dan Agyei alongside a proper mobile and strong centre forward who can win the ball and hold it under pressure and lay it off, score some goals as well. Perhaps Richie and the scouting team, Ling etc can make this a priority to get such a player onboard asap.

Same as Happe there both injury prone mate in Grahams case I’m convinced he won’t start more than 6 games this season. The trouble with this club is they tend to sign these sort of players in the hope they can get a tune out of them for very little money. The due diligence this club makes is sometimes very poor sometimes it isn’t?however a club this size must make every penny count, there’s a reason why other clubs avoid players like Graham and now your seeing why.

For every Paul Smyth there will be a dozen or so Jordan Grahams.

In my opinion the only answer to our problems is massive new investment otherwise we will stagnate in League 1 or get relegated.

So unless a minor miracle happens “massive new investment “ we will either stagnate in League 1 or get relegated and pay ridiculous seat prices for the pleasure of what ?

Let’s hope it NT and the massive new investment needed is forthcoming very soon or I am sure we will stagnate or be relegated.
