Ofsted publishes a report stating that education in Young People's Institutions was shockingly bad: you don't say.
"The report said children needed more time out of their cells and called for the recruitment of better teaching staff.
Oftsed chief inspector Sir Martyn Oliver said the provision in some YOIs was so "shockingly bad" some inspectors needed "counselling" after their visits."
There was I thinking that some of these inspectors, being "better teaching staff" could do the job themselves, but if they need "counselling" after their visits, perhaps they could not be trusted to do the job themselves.
What a farce!
